A somewhat updated list of Mentors/mentees:

Mentors: Available unless otherwise noted. (Mentees pm the mentor)

Scott-land - possibly unavailable? experienced
negoeien - top 100 player
Kid_A - possibly unavailable? experienced
AAFitz - highly recommended, no 5 or 6 player escalating
Aerial Attack - nice guy, good player- no freestyle
Peaceful Warrior - will help with basics for new players
cena-rules - general help for new players
lokisgal - excellent dubs/trips player (taking satanspaladin in a few weeks)
firstholiday - no freestyle, leaving in a few weeks for a month
Herakiller - general help, odd strats (pm)

Mentees: Available unless otherwise noted

Ditch - new player
Scigatt - new player
brunowa- new player, interested in learning for board game practice
witchywen - new player, strategy help
Prefontaine13 - new player
satanspaladin - freestyle/strategy help (herakiller in a few weeks)
iConquer - help maintaining points
Peaceful Warrior - advanced strategy help
Cool_Hand_Luke - new player, any help
surfside - new player, basics help
ThePatMeister - strategy help
PLAYER57832 - new player
vic - advanced strategies (2000+ points games)
fvong - new player, general help
kooks - new player, needs general help
geigerm - new premium, needs help with the inevitable point loss/strat help
high_voltage21 - new player, general help

If there are mistakes or changes in status, please point them out an I'll fix them.

Remember new players looking for help, you pm the mentor. Very few mentors (other then me, I think I pm'ed all my mentees) will pm you. Don't be shy, if their name is on this list they have VOLUNTEERED to help without coercion, just don't spam them or be rude. And if they say they are busy, give them time or try someone else.

as a mentoree im a 3.5, as a mentor im a 2.5

I would also appreciate advanced strategy advice and someone letting me know how I can get in on the high-level private games. Is 2000 the magic number, and then you suddenly get invites?

There is a thread in the callouts section specifically for 2000+ games, once you reach 2000 points, post there asking for the standard password and someone will give it to you.

i believe that after working with galoshes he has gained some confidence in the strategies i gave him but we have it worked out that he can shoot me questions anytime but as far as im concerned i think hes good! (he made my rank too!)

I would like to have a mentor. I have been here for a while but have been having trouble getting above private since the ranks changed. I would rate myself a 3 or maybe a 4 for a mentoree.

I'll be a mentor. I'd probably rate myself a 2. I'd prefer to work with somebody at the lower end of rankings, but I'll do what I can for whoever. I mostly play esc, so if your interested mainly in no cards/flat, you might be better off with somebody else.
