As for what others see furries as, you can't choose what the world accepts as being furry. The swastika used to be a buddhist symbol for peace, but that doesn't change the fact that it now stands for naziism. So, too, you can't change the fact that furries include those that look at furry porn. If you're so concerned about furries being "ill represented", go start your own furry thread, instead of ranting in mine. See unfortunately for you when you do post furry pictures on a public, non-furry place, you are representing furries. The stuff they see here will taint their views of all furries. CSI did a thing with furries and people I've met who have seen that episode look at furries the wrong way. I'm not saying that furry porn is wrong or that people who like it aren't part of the furry community. Sex is in everything and I don't see why it shouldn't be in furry culture. What I'm saying is that when all people see of furries is the porn then they think that's all there is to it. Even if they are open enough to it they still are tainted by the first pictures they saw of furs. I'm just cautious when it comes to furries, especially on the internet.



Stuff like this does not help. Furries are one of the more interesting parts of our society. You see furries everywhere but furries still get flamed on the internet.

It is quite significant that the nazi swastika pointed clockwise, whereas the "release from the wheel" swastika points in the other direction.

Incidentally, I have never seen a good mainstream historical explanation as to why Nazi Germany adopted the swastika as a symbol.

I was intrigued by the title, thinking this thread would be some little joke. I just skimmed over the thread, and I have a few comments, and one question.

Some of the artwork here is of surprising quality to me, which makes me think that these people take this stuff seriously, and it is my opinion that anything that a group as large as "yiffers" takes seriously should be considered a respected opinion, and should be treated as such. If some people enjoy looking at these pics, let them. Who is harmed by this niche in the furry subculture?

If an opinion is worth respecting, it is deserving of a well reasoned counter-argument, not a bunch of pictures of projectile vomiting, and a few dozen slurs being thrown around.

And, how many people here, excluding yiffers, actually find the projectile vomiting more offensive than the "yiffy" pics? I do.
