Everyone thinks they are better than us and the other home nations so when they lose they will be mightily embarrassed as they are expected to win every single game ever. If you managed to win by some miracle then you wouldn't consider it an achievement.

Some of them weren't competitve but all of England's were.
Just cause you have the best players doesn't mean you will always win.
