interesting.

you came just in time to witness your interesting lynch. (or maybe to interestingly prevent it).

unvote to give strike some opportunity to come with something interesting, we can decide after his post if we still want to lynch him.

Well, being that at least 90% of the "case" against Shield was that he was going to be useless, and that Strike probably won't be, I don't see why we would unless a deadline comes up on us really fast and we decide that that lynch is better than no lynch.

Lets see... you used the word interesting twelve times in the twelfth month of the year, on its twelfth day as we approach 2012 Coincidence?

Well crap...I had created and almost finished a long post and then accidentally deleted it...well anyways the abbreviated version. Okay so I know it's shield and there are a lot of people who don't particularly care for Shield but almost lynched in 6 days despite two posts and the mod saying he was looking for a replacement really? The case seems a bit rushed to me. Anyways, I'm going to note Zimmah real quick and then get onto who I actually think is suspicious. Zimmah. You are too quick to jump to conclusions. You need to slow down and think through your actions better.

Now onto a serious issue. Hippo...first he is the fourth vote on the Andy Joke wagon. He reacted harshly if jokingly to Spiesr's warning about voting him. he continues on to put Shield at L-1 on December 7th after he had not posted in thread since December 2nd. So his first vote coming back from being semi-inactive is to bandwagon vote an inactive into a l-1 situation. He later unvotes after some pressure only to revote a day later (putting shield back at L-1). He also pressures VS a bit to cast the hammer. He flip flopped, appears lynch hungry and is hypocritical that's at least FOS worthy by itself but when he gets called out on it by BG, he reacts harshly and OMGus votes him. His next few posts are short one liners implicating BG as scum before shifting back onto the popular Shield bandwagon. So what do we have from him.

1. bandwagoning the joke vote.
2. Bandwagoning the inactive wagon after he had been inactive for 5 days himself.
3. Pressured someone to hammer.
4. OMGus voted the person who called him out on his behavior.

This warrants a vote from me.

All very reasonable to assume, and frankly I am off my game in the last couple of days. This is my last week before I head off on holiday for a month ... so I will be slow at responding from this point on. Thought I better let you all know that now before you thin that is dodgy behaviour in its own right!

To answer your points. Yes, I was bandwagoning the joke vote on Andy, we all do it, but nothing came of it so I let it go - as did everyone else. Yes, I bandwagoned the inactive wagon, although with all the "he's coming back, no he's not, he he is" I began to wonder whether he was ever to be replaced and figured that he was playing a trick. Then he was replaced, so no point there is there!! I let it go, and I expect everyone else to as well, after all why attack you when you have just arrived. Let's see you make a few mistakes first  Not sure what you mean by "pressured someone to hammer", perhaps you can explain that. But sounds a bit like more of the same. Actually, not my style and I think you have been skimming. As to BG, actually I didn't OMGUS him at all, you definitely skimmed there. BG thought I did and I thought ... whatever .. I made a typo or two and he misunderstood but figured that it wasn't worth making a big deal of!!

So there you go.

So, back to the drawing board. I wind it right the way back and there is my big quote about spiesr. Have a read of that. That's the best thing I can think of at this time, so ... unvote vote spiesr. That was back on day 5 and, as dazza noted, I was serious.

So the case against Spiesr was serious. WHat was the joke vote you were referencing here? Or did I just misinterpret something?

For thinking we would miss that he is a double voter.
What?
Smells like the heady scent of desperation! FOS Iron Butterfly for not telling the difference between a joke vote and a real one!
Where did I skim? I'm not sure what you are trying to reference here. As far as pressuring a hammer. It was light but it does appear you were pressuring victor about following up on his one day limit. You're vote on BG was OMGus. He accuses you based on voting Shield to L-1 twice and then you turn around and vote him based on that statement.
thehippo8 wrote:
MoB Deadly wrote:As a mod I still don't know what to do in this situation. He is inactive in other mafia games as well (Christmas Mafia). However he responded to my prod with a check-in. Do I make the executive decision here and decide he should be replaced? Or is that unfair to SG7 because he has intentions of coming back? Other mods please advise.

fast posted by BG
For what it is worth, I vote that you change him and on that basis ... unvote

In answer to BG, you can than VS for the vatoe, he was the one suggesting monday but given MoB's post there's no point in pursuing it. The only reason I put him at L-1 is because there are 6 other voes on sg7, I assume that you are FOSing all 7 - now that's just outlandish and not just a little bit desperate on your part. You have made similar unwarranted comments against Gilligan and Zimmah but your most damning comment is ...
MoB Deadly wrote:I agree with Daz. I looked at Shields activity and he is pretty much no active on the entire site though.
He uses the Vacation thread from what i can tell and there is nothing there explaining an absence.

On that note

I will unvote vote ShieldGenerator

I also ask that he might be prodded....

So your only true reason to vote for me is that I did the same thing as you. That's not just weird, that's scummy!!

vote BG
This qualifies as OMGus.

As far as your post against Spiesr. It's bogus. Spiesr tried to give you a tip about being careful about bandwagoning and you stretch what he said into some big scum tell.

Playing a trick? Im sorry that does not wash. The FOS was on you because of the "no Im not, yes I am appearnace of your vote. It appears that you where voting to lynch but when the pressure was on you backed off.

Then he was replaced, so no point there is there!! I let it go, and I expect everyone else to as well, after all why attack you when you have just arrived.
That says nothing accept adresses the obvious.

This is the paragraph that sets my alarm bells off. He knows exactly what "pressure to hammer means" He was up Sully's butt about his statement. I saw it as a threat by Sully to draw out SG7 and nothing more. There is a difference between lieing, which Hippo uses as an excuse to pressure Sully, and using threats to draw someone out to post.

You also did OMGUS vote. The proof is in your post. Your defense seems to be for people to beleive its not your style and to then to accuse people of skimming for adressing the obvious discrepencies of your behavior seems very suspicious to me.

So there you go.

So, back to the drawing board. I wind it right the way back and there is my big quote about spiesr. Have a read of that. That's the best thing I can think of at this time, so ... unvote vote spiesr. That was back on day 5 and, as dazza noted, I was serious.
My initial vote was a joke vote. I am now comfortable that you are the best case for lycnching. Your best defense seems to be, "dont beleive what I have posted as it is not what it seems"

Fair enough, I accept that my floundering for a target has been fruitless to say the least. Such is the way of the first day. Frankly though, it would be unfair to suggest anything other than I have always had town's interests at heart. Maybe it is my bedside manner, I'll work on that. Follow if you like, but I assure you that you will feel sick when you realise the mistake you made!

In the meantime, vote iron butterfly. There was no basis for your vote at all, and now you seek to ride (some sort of cowgirl backwards style?) on wolf's back. Looks really scummy to me!
