yea. Basically:
Paint.
Inkscape beats Paint.
GIMP beats Inkscape.
Photoshop beats GIMP.
Photoshop CS3 Extended trumps all

Starting positions are asigned randomly. 1 person can have two staring positions but they will be given out randomly rather than asigned. If that makes sense.t-o-m wrote:this is an XML question:
is it possible to assign one person 2 starting locations?

Obviously - you have to have twice as many starting positions as players...gimil wrote:Starting positions are asigned randomly. 1 person can have two staring positions but they will be given out randomly rather than asigned. If that makes sense.t-o-m wrote:this is an XML question:

im a little confused, though.
this:
can 1 person get 2 starting positions? 2 specific ones?
say this for an example:
player one starts with A1 and A2
player 2 starts with B1 and B2
player 3 starts with C1 and C2
and it wouldnt be player one starts with A2 and C1?
so the positions go in 'pairs'?

thanksyeti_c wrote: Ah - sorry - confused what you meant...
Yes starting positions can be grouped... see Das Schloss for example.

Nowadays you can probably use Picnik to create maps, which is basically an online program like Photoshop. There is nothing to download and all you have to do is make an account there.Risktaker17 wrote:I have a map-making question. Is it possible to make a map without downloading anything to your computer, I'm not allowed to download anything to the computer. I have never made a map before, but I was thinking about making one.
You XML tutorial should give you all the details that you will ever need. It can be found here:tunik wrote:hello all,
suppose you have designed a great map in photoshop. how you go about the xml file? is there a sample xml file that one can look at?

But dont worry about XML just yet, if you do have a map as a PSD.tunik wrote:hello all,

right, you'll need to convert it to a JPG (or JPEG) firstt-o-m wrote:But dont worry about XML just yet, if you do have a map as a PSD.tunik wrote:hello all,

Or a PNG. Any high-quality image format will work.blakebowling wrote:right, you'll need to convert it to a JPG (or JPEG) firstt-o-m wrote:But dont worry about XML just yet, if you do have a map as a PSD.tunik wrote:hello all,
