He wasn't a freemium when he signed up for the tournament. Since this is a purely premium-only tournament, he'll either need to renew, or he'll automatically forfeit his place in Round 2 even if he doesn't have lowest score.

Scores updated. The Hypochondriacs have taken back their completion crown, but the Catatonics are back from nowhere, now merely 7 games behind the Narcoleptics. Things are looking to come to a close for this round soon, expect a PM or two shortly.

Hey guys and gals,

In the interest of full disclosure, I thought I would post this here:

There has been a question about changing the build up time length. I believe currently we have 50, but we could opt for 40 or 30 rounds.

My vote is for 40 or keep it at 50. Although I am not in the mood to play build up, my group has some games in round 20. I feel we should have more than 10 rounds to adjust our strategies.

This is my short reason for my vote.

Cheers,

Snowman

I shouldn't do that, in my opinion, being the ebst all rounder on classic every single setting has also much to do with endurance my dear friend tacktix.
I'm positive some games will end, or at least a couple more eliminations will fall in the 5O round limit.
I think it's an essential part of no card games to be patient and then strike like a rocket.

That's how I feel

I agree with Snowman, 30 rounds is too short, we are going to hit that limit in a few games soon. 40 or 50 will be better.

the 8v8 games should take a while

Scores updated again. I've assigned some of the first stalemates, so be aware of what round you are on (conclusion of round 30 = stalemate).

I really think taht's a shame tacktix, you hosted a tourney with a perfect idea, you should now that with every setting, some settings just take longer then others, no cards isn't always concluded at round 30 but could be at round 40.
You just declared which I can probably win the next five rounds so it isn't really a stalemate isn't it?
I strongly insist to look at tha matter again and take another conclusion.

I think you're doing a great job but it saddens me that this rule get's implemented.

I went with a majority decision. If I am offered compelling reasons to go back on this, I will consider changing it.

I must have missed the poll, I do appologise.

We have had a match stalemated, but we were at turn 24 when you reduced the cap, there was no way to finish the game in that few turns. But it would have been finished by turn 40... oh well. There was only 3 of us left in... now 2. so we all lost points?

I am not sure why the rules had to be changed in the first place... it was the rules when we signed up.

yes very true, I just liked the 50 cap thing, and I signed up for that, now the majority decided to lower it but I joined for the original concept and setup not for a change :(

I polled about lowering it because I had several PMs talking about how 50 rounds was too long to wait, they wanted to get the 1st Round done with, etc. I am willing to stick in a caveat that games with 4 or fewer people remaining (faster rounds, less happening) get 40 or 50, if that would suffice. I will unstalemate all games fulfilling that condition.
