I don't understand why it's so hard to understand that this looks like a rail map.
THat the majority of maps on this site have shapes that touch one another and they may be of differing sizes, but the territories touch, they don't have friggin squigly lines that move in strange direction.
I DID post on the thread begging for this horrible map to go away
bah
There are many specific, and legalese reasons why the assault connection lines were chosen instead of territories connecting.

I think under the circumstances and pressures and limitations imposed, the Classic Map REVAMP is fitting and will make a great classic map.

--Andy
So what you're saying is that Hasbro owns the patent on a map with territories connecting :-s

Most were in round 12=15 escalating
And I will now lose most.

- I find it funny that most people are complaining about the two classics being made into this revamp.

When there was an announcement 2 months ago that Classic was being revamped (and at that time, all but the legend and title were the same), why didn't you say something then? It takes less than a minute to go to the thread and post "please don't change it"

It vexes me that every time something is done on the site, everyone screams "I liked it better the way it was before" and gives some excuse. Then when a revamp comes around, and there is an announcement about it and you have two months to say something, and if you do say something, it affects the map... you don't bother to post, "leave it as is"? Then, when it comes out, you then spend the next week complaining about it in a dozen threads?

It makes no sense to me. You had a great say in this update, a ton of people's comments influenced the way the map looks right now. My advice is: go to the foundry and make one post there per 3 months (that's about how often we have a revamp.)
First off, nobody reads announcements. If they want us to read it then they should make a post in GD. Second, there's no reason that they couldn't keep are at the same time as adding the new one in. Nothing pisses people off like being forced to change. We're all on here for fun and we don't want to keep getting used to new systems and new maps that we thought we already knew.

Change sucks, I like the site the way it is. Stop changing shit. We damn sure don't need revamps (i.e. make maps look prettier) of maps that already work fine, (Germany, etc). CC should stop changing things that already work.

Look people, we have had 2 months to complain about it. It is a lot better than squares, lines, and boring.

a) Not a rail map
b) It is a great map
c) You had 2 months to complain

If you dont like change, read the announcements. Then you can say that you dont like it and actively change it. There's no point complaining after the change has been made, when there's been a thread in the foundry for 2 months.

I didn't play standard classic (my favourite game) while there was no decent map. Now we've got the classic map I am playing speed classic again and enjoying it hugely.

I for one complained when we lost the original classic, complained about both shapes and art and vowed to not play either as a standard game. When the new one was coming out I strongly suggested they get rid of both art and shapes as I felt they were both a stain on the site as a whole.

Therefore I cannot but congratulate Team CC for removing art and shapes as well as giving us a new classic that actually looks better than the old one. I know the lines are annoying now, but give it a couple of weeks and I am sure they won't be bothering anyone too much.

Well done Team CC,

Mr Changsha
