the problem with tourneys (for you) is that most of them are 1v1
there are some multiplayer, but certainly over half are 1v1

yeah I know. But maybe I need to learn how to play 1vs1... they are not that much fun for me. But I said it earlier, Ill take what I can get at this point.


I also could try getting a job. that would probably cure this problem too =D

1v1 is not really that hard, its a lot like 2v2 (or 3v3 or 4v4) where you only have 1 opponent, you can be more relentless in your attacking because you only have to beat one person. It's a delicate balance between relentlessness and overextending yourself, just like multiplayer, but you edge closer to relentlessness

and yes, getting a job is generally a good idea

erg down to 77 games!!!! Dont think im going to renew if this doesnt change when its up. I just as soon have 4 games as 77. I dont think paying customers should have to play 1vs1's in order to have 100+ games going.

okay, not saying you're wrong or that this is a bad idea or anything like that, but you haven't been joining these games much recently, you were joining over 1000 1v1's then trying to take all of your turns

maybe I'm wrong, but if you really have 50 pending games at all times, you should be able to get up to at least 125-150 games before your game count levels off, even with all 8 player games

no man... read the first 4 posts of this thread.. its technically impossible to get 120 games now adays unless its 1vs1


but im up to like 107... by searching my ass off everyday and playing tournis.

If the limit was raised up, There would have to be a way to code it to exclude Speed Games

The reason this is in place, is to stop Point Dumpers. But what i noticed, is that a majority of the Point Dumping cases, are done via Speed games. NOT Casual. Now, one thing i noticed, say you do get up to the pending limit of 50. One thing I noticed, is that you actually can't join anymore games. I remember getting to 50, and tried joining a 1v1. But it didn't let me, saying that i had my pending limit. I don't know if this is still the case, but this was a major inconvenience. I think raising the limit up to 75 or 100 would be nice. BUT i still think that This should be limited to CASUAL only, and NOT Speed games.

I understand the point dumping thing... but dont you think that we might notice someone point dumping in 100 games regardless of the limit?

Im just asking for a small increase. Atm I have under 90 games.. .and that is crazy.. My goal is 150ish active games. I think just a slight bump in pending may help and not really hurt anything. Plus its like super duper duper easy to impliment.

I think CC has enough checks and balances to catch point dumpers regardless of the pending games. If someone is gonna point dump they will do 1vs1 anyway.. and those fill up so fast that pending game limit is never even an issue.

I like the idea, don't get me wrong. And yes, most point dumpers do it via 1v1. I believe that increasing the game limit is a good thing. It gives users, like you, and whoever gets up to the 50 pending limit, more freedom. And this will increase the amount of active games. And if they like to play a wide variety, or pull off something, like "I want to play a game on every single map at once", it gives them a better chance to pull it off

well dont get me wrong.. I realize in the grand scheme of things this is a trivial improvement ... If it doesnt happen thats cool, ill not throw a fit.. But lol, im gonna keep bumping it every few months.

I just never understood the limit.. We pay to play. That should have reasonable limits. And maybe 50 is reasonable to most ppl. It just makes 8 man esc specialists like me really struggling to keep games up. 8 man rooms are not so easy to fill or find.

I fully understand this part. We paid to play as many games as we want. This is partially limiting some players

CC is such a great relative value to any and all other sites out there that there is absolutely no real need for this at all. There are always hundreds of games waiting to be joined, and one simply can play an unlimited amount. The limit does far more good than harm. It even helps prevent against someone accidentally making more games than they can possibly handle.

My point again is that yes, you do pay to play, and that $25 a year for unlimited games, with 50 settup at a time is so much more than what other sites offer that its ridiculous.

As far as it not being my business, well, this is an open suggestion and I pay to play too, and having too many games open does affect me, which is why I explained my thoughts.

I would support a suggestion that you could pay for more games however. That would help contribute to the site and make it better for everyone. I just happen to not support the motion for getting way more than is deservered for the pittance of $25.

In any case, sorry you disagree, but Im glad you dont smoke, but it is your business, because if I smoke, and get sick, you may have to pay more taxes to treat me.

Well my josh, i think something could be changed WHEN you reach 50 Pending. Because i know i had a problem joining 1v1's or games that needed 1 more player when i reached the limit

yes... well there should be a 10 game cap on speeders to begin with.. I mean why would anyone have over 10 speeders if they were not cheating anyway, much less 50 - 70

I agree with AON. This should be implemented. Some players like to play a lot of games. Why limit them? There is no good reason mentioned in the previous posts against AON's suggestion.
