If someone started playing here with the name Semper I don't think that would be a good enough reason to accuse them of being a multi.
I agree with the notion of what you are saying Semp, and I know why you feel so strongly about this situation.
Most of the names that are similar and turn out to be multis are all created at the same time. Heck, just the other day two guys be the names of Napoleon1 and Napoleon 1 were busted. I had to read it 3 times to even see the difference in their names!
But are similar names alone enough to accuse someone? No I don't think so. However if you look and see that those very similar names were created within a day or two of each other and they play from the same country, then I think that might be enough. Or they have very similar names and a bunch of games together? Yeah I think thats enough.
I would rather have the people that are suspicious of multis report them and find out the truth, because it can bring some peace of mind to the game and catch some cheaters as well. I know that can be a bit damaging to your reputation (being accused a lot I mean) but I don't see how it can ever be prevented. If people don't fill out an official form they will probably make accusations in the game chat which is even worse because you won't ever get a response about that.
