All right, round 1 games have been exchanged, so this should be getting underway in the not-too-terribly distant future.

Something interesting to consider.

If LoW beats THOTA here, then it would suggest that:

1) LoW has become stronger since the loss to THOTA a little over a year ago (despite losing part of the clan that turned into TOFU)

2) THOTA has become weaker since they beat LoW

That is a narrow view point, you really need to look at the big picture Pete, there are many factors that could be involved. If we lose a clan challenge, that doesn't mean we have become weaker, I doubt anyone could win them all. We are 10-0, and never lost in a clan challenge. This is a cup game and not technically a clan challenge we threw out to them, although many may see it as such, our clan challenge with tofu-low merged back when they were LoW all together and you pete in that clan, we won 32-28, great battle, very close, and hard fought. We are bound to lose at some point, you would think. So, if LoW won this time 32-28, that does not mean we are weaker, and that does not mean all in Tofu who left Low are weaker, and LoW is stronger, your statement Pete just seems very premature to me.

It simply could mean several of the top clans of any given clan match up could beat anyone if close to equal in skill. There is 5 to 7 really skillful clans out there that have some super players. I am very impressed with LoW over the last 6 months, they have showed me a lot, so I respect them for that.

I wonder if LoW's fatigue will set in anytime soon. THOTA has some fresh pickups and I think in light of recent events, THOTA may get seriously cereal about this one.

I think we are. I think blitz is trying to say since Marval never added these to the clan stats, these do not count as matches, but that is just because nothing is being added right now.

What Blitz means is this cup game/clan challenge is not on THOTA/LOW's terms. It was decided by Chuck what the terms of all these challenges are made up of.

That, and the fact that it's not like thota and low decided one day to have a rematch, but rather than the rematch was dictated by the rankings and each clan's progress thru the cup.

I meant no disrespect to any of the clans mentioned and I agree, my weaker/stronger is oversimplified. I think myriad factors will come into play to affect the outcome. I do, however, think LoW has become a stronger clan the past few months bringing in new guys that add a lot and also their original members are playing exceptionally well. Are they better than they were when the TOFU guys were in there? If they beat THOTA, it would at least suggest so. I don't think that is too far-fetched.

THOTA is the best clan on CC right now and has been for awhile, but it would be naive to say in the past 3-4 years your clan has not been affected by new members or losing old members making it stronger or weaker. TOFU, in its short existence has had stronger times and weaker times. Is it so awful for me to say that one clan weakening or another clan strengthening might affect the outcome of a rematch (60 games in both cases, call them what you like, I consider it a rematch)?

I have all the respect in the world for THOTA, you guys have been dominating for years. I understand your point that when the clans are as skilled as they are (the top 7 you mentioned) then its almost like flipping a coin, but I like to think the best team will come out on top at the end which THOTA did against LoW last year and like THOTA did 9 other times.

I would just like to add that between the Ccup and the CLA League there is not much room for any challenges, we have kind of focused on one thing at a time and thus this is like a challenge to us as all are. We try not to put 1 thing in front of another though sometimes it happens. I hope you guys bring your A game THOTA as i am sure you will, but according to newsletters and such you guys didnt in the cla league because of the tsm thota challenge, that was your decisions and i understand 100% but i would like that when the time comes (now or later against someone else) that you guys do lose a significant challenge (i would hope 60 is enough to consider significant) that you guys dont just say you didn't put in 100% because it was not a clan challenge. Not because i think you guys would say that, but more-so cause i want you guys to bring your 100%, if you do then we will be sure to for rounds 2&3 ;)

challenge accepted?

If I may add, although Chuck decided the terms for CC cup it was stated from the very beginning that this would qualify for a clan challenge, and every clan that agreed to participate accepted those terms. TSM didn't and they're not in this competition. LOW and THOTA did, however.

I agree with LoW becoming stronger since last time, however, since we have played some top clans in the recent months, namely the Monkies, I dont think that implies we have gotten weaker. We had a tough match against Nemesis and my hat went off to them. So if youre saying our well fought match against Nemesis would imply weakness, then youre saying Nemesis is not worthy of being in the Clan Cup tourney. I disagree totally with that statement.

Just like any season, there are some good games/series against "weaker" opponents who step up to the plate. Nemesis gave us a great run for our money and they really took a big step forward it their own development. So imo, LoW better be on its best, since we have had the best competition preparing us over the last few months for a run at winning this Cup.

Good luck LoW! This should be an interesting match.

That sounds a little more appropriate.

I know LoW won the league last year, but THOTA statistically, is still the #1 clan and no underdog in this challenge.

I meant to put something like "or" between the options. I didn't mean to imply THOTA is weaker. My mistake.
