I have to admit I joined. My nation is Miranda, named after the ambassador's homecountry in Bunuel's The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.

for IRON you need to orange, you can change that at "Edit nation"

i joined, but i dont want to do a lot of reading. whats the gameplay like?

you ca do it in 5 min a day (wit a deletion for inactivity at 20 days)

you can just collect taxes, grow with buying infra and sometimes military/tech and such

Joining an alliances has it benefits, they usual help you out, defend you from attacks (the bigger the alliance, the less change you get attacked)
also each alliance has its friends and sometimes enemy's, so keeping away from war is difficult.

You can also spend hours chatting on off-site forums and such
