Turn 1, Dibbun got 2 +1 bonuses and a +6 bonus which gave him 8 extra troops to reduce QoH's territory count. So you did get some luck by starting out with a large bonus and being able to break QoH's bonuses/reduce his territory bonus. So it's only expected that you would have firm control of the game after going first with a drop like that.
