(poll added: best cartoon) - Page 2 - Conquer Club
You prefer american dad over family guy?? I don t know, the kids are less funny.. Pets well i guess now american dad wins, fathers pretty even but i d give peter an extra point, lois vs francine well... Quite even, maybe slightly francine... Yeah the families are pretty even, but quahog is just better than langley! If i want to watch a funny cartoon i d watch an american dad only if i ran out of family guys to watch.
Also haven t seen archer in almost a year and i forgot how awesome it is. When it s back on I will say it s much better than family guy i m sure.
best cartoon. If we are talking about currently, probably South Park and Archer from what I've seen. Overall, Simpsons probably should be on there. They aren't as funny any more but their best seasons still make up for the bad ones and Futurama would be my second choice. South Park is hands down my favorite right now though.

As far as Family Guy, sorry but Brian should stay dead. I know they are bringing him back and i honestly consider that a cop out whether Family Guy intended it all along or they gave into fan pressure.

Yeah, my top 3 are:
(1) Simpsons (2) Futurama (3) Southpark
But in the interest of full disclosure I stopped watching animated shows in the late 2000s.

Are you sure about brian coming back to life?
It seems all but confirmed from what I've read. Am I sure he shouldn't? Yes. I liked Brian as a character but I am not a big fan of shows that intentionally screw with their audiences by killing off characters (with the obvious implication being that it's permanent) only to bring them back after a while nor shows that give into public demand like that.

King of the Hill should get more love. That show was great. It's not as spastic as Family Guy or the others, but it generally was a great show. It had a lot of heart and less obvious humor, but imo it was hilarious. Mike Judge is a pretty funny guy.
Can t believe people voted for beavis & butthead, that was just unwatchable! And surprised to see that futurama s getting that much lovin by far. I guess this doesn t represent audience ratings, otherwise they wouldn t ve stopped and the simpsons wouldn t be on for 25 years... That is crazy... 25 years! I remember when I was 16 getting in a fight with my dad because i was still watching the simpsons. He was like why don t you grow up and stop watching cartoons as if you were 8?? i don t remember what happened afterwards but we did fight phisically and here i am 18 years later still watchin it, didn t work dad!!

I have considered going back and watching King of the Hill more often. I didn't like it that much when I was younger but what I've found going back to watch it now is that the main reason for that was because I really was too young to get a lot of the jokes.

Pretty much same here, plus I didn't get t.v. when I was young, really. It's understandable. The animation is... different, and like I said the humor is more character based and present in dialogue rather than physical gags (although it had its share as well, i.e. Cotton, etc.). But it's streaming on Netflix so I watched it last summer.
