this is completely different. lance armstrong didn't win 7 tours in a legit way. he was taking illegal products and forcing his teammates to do so. letting him keep the titles would ve been totally inapropriate as he would never have won 7 straight had he been clean.

ok....i take everything i said back now...had no idea he was "cool". i thought we were discussing his position on the scoreboard and how he cheated and was banned and now comes back from a ban as the Conqueror?

As for Lance Armstrong, I was a huge fan until his cheating became proven. If you look at the sport though, i am not sure if you could determine who would have been the best during his time. Most of the top riders from his time have been busted for doping. If you watch the sport, it is totally different and they don't climb mountains like they used to.

now my ADD has kicked in and I don't know why I am talking about lance anyway...

For example, if method A was not explicitly against the law (since there has yet to be a law against), then players would use A. If there comes a law against A, and if those players stop using A, does it follow that those players are poor players?

All I'm saying is that the law is arbitrary and so are people's judgments are sportsmanship in regard to substances (and scripts, for that matter).

The worse thing about Armstrong is the way he denied being a cheat and how insulting he was towards french people because french journalists were telling the truth about him. He was so convincing that all americans believed him and that gave us the worse sore loser reputation. I remember some stand up comedy jokes by that asshat robin williams. Funny how he didn t show up to apologize once armstrong was forced to tell the truth.

Armstrong was really a disgusting person, he was a bully towards his teammates, he never tried to back up floyd landis when he got caught; he pulled some political strings to keep his cheatings secret, it was all about himself and he didn t care how much damage his lies would bring. When he had to admit he really had no choice, too many evidence. There were already enough evidence a few years back but for some reason the french were liars.
