... speakin' of Whoppers, the first Burger King in Japan opened its doors in Shinjuku last week. It's about 5 hours away from me by train... but I'm thinking I might go...

don't get yourself disappointed over a crummy excuse for a burger :roll:

Dude they just opened the first Beard Papa's in London. First in Europe, I believe. A very exciting development nonetheless.
I had burger king in Dover before we caught the ferry first time in the UK going to France in 2000. It was not very good.

Whilst I don't do Maccy Ds and manage to stomach BK as an act of desperation maybe once a year maximum I'd like to point out that the quality of culinary experience in Dover is not representative of the UK as a whole.

I believe that, we had some decent food when we came back and spent some time wandering. I'm not a fan of British beef overall though. I think you prefer the beef you grew up eating, though I love it from egypt!

I worked at McDonald's for 10 months, I don't eat there, and when I worked there, I only ate there if I made the burger myself. I have my reasons, if you have any questions as to why please ask away.

I'm really wondering how people can love McDonalds. The taste is disgusting, it's not even real food. Like. That's just gross.

i think it really good i mean its still food just like fryed and i keep myself in shape i play about 7 sports year round w/ my friends

1. McDonald’s food is just that, food. There is nothing contained in it that makes people want to eat it, except quality ingredients used in good recipes.

Why do after eating the Big Mac I feel sick the next day?

1. McDonald’s food contains nothing that should make a normal, healthy person ill or feel sick in any way and all ingredients that are used are similar to those you would buy in the supermarket or use at home.

Yes, carrots, washed in giant washing machines, as a recent news story in the UK revealed - this is so that they look good as new, six weeks after they were picked from the carrot tree (or shovelled up, or whatever. Hey, I'm not a horticulturalist.)

I'm still trying to get over the fact that "slices of ham" sold in supermarkets are not actually that - some of those "slices" often consist of leftover meat forced off the bones of pig carcasses with high-pressure water jets. They are then seamlessly stuck together, and a "slice" of fat is added to make the "slice of ham" look convincing.

gloves are not mandatory in the food preparation area, there is a "wash ur hands every hour rule", but that doesn't get enforced unless there is an inspection happening

, the patties for everything not chicken, quarter pounder or big xtra take 42 seconds to cook,

the other patties take 102 seconds,

grilled chicken is cooked for 5 minutes,

most other chicken in like 3 or 4,

big mac sauce is thousand island dressing, mayo and random, unidentified crunchy bits,

some guy once got served a raw burger, ate it and THEN came and told us about it,

some guy was jerking off in the walled off section where the dumpsters are kept, when we took out the garbage, he said "I'll be done in a minute".

I now work in a Loblaws Deli, it is MUCH more sanitary there.
