It's a leadership PAC so it was created and is controlled by Trump.

Oh so it's his personal money? cus you said Trump is paying everyones bills... but maybe you meant Trump is leading the grift on his own supporters to pay the bills of a few co-conspirators

It's money he alone controls (sans board or committee), so yes, when I said he is paying, he is literally causing funds to be issued forth.

Donors provided SAPAC funds for Trump to spend as he saw fit (within legal limits) and this is how he saw fit. He could have used it on his campaign; election law even allows himself to take a salary out of it were he to choose.

Authoritarian warmongers like you are doomed as peace activists take control of governments from Hungary to Italy.

If it was almost any other kind of organization it would be considered misappropriation. In many instances, it would be criminally actionable. But, you're right -- political candidates can do almost anything with the money they scam from their dupes.

I donated to SAPAC knowing full well funds would be used for legal fees in a way Trump deems fit. Moreover, I don't even care if Trump is guilty or not. In fact, on the first Smith inquiry I think he is. But I have zero interest in fairness or justice. I want the triumph of my worldview at any cost. If Trump were a serial killer I'd want him to get off because he's - for now - the best vehicle to destroy or irreparably injure Atlanticism.

You may be horrified by that perspective, but I wasn't duped. I knew exactly what I was getting.

If it was anyone else tied to the military, they'd be swinging a pickaxe for life.

This whole fiasco is absurd really, and I'm hoping we hold leaders accountable from here on for this absurd bullshit. Hillary too.

Yes we know, the whole spectrum of maga cultist from leaders like Saxi, to dimwitted simpletons like Confed are all rooting hard for the end of America as we know it... The patriotism you feel towards America is only surpassed by the hate you feel towards America

The American people are starting to see through Trump and the Republican cult, but too many cultists are going deeper into unreality.
Americans say Trump's actions after the 2020 presidential election did more to threaten democracy than to defend it, 54% to 19%.

Seven in 10 say that Biden was legitimately elected president, a number that's been consistent in the last year. But among Republicans, 57% say Biden's election was illegitimate, compared with 32% of independents and 2% of Democrats.
A populist wave began rising in the middle of the past decade, transforming politics in the United States and other advanced industrial democracies... Consider the 21 percent support for Germany’s far-right party in that country’s polls or Donald Trump’s 38-point lead for the 2024 Republican nomination, despite multiple criminal indictments.
Populism is driven by anger, lies, and stroking resentment. Recently pollsters and social scientists found a good predictor of Trump support in a region was the level of anger. They didn't measure insanity. Right-wing populism stems from an authoritarian “cultural backlash” by social conservatives who feel besieged by postmodern values.
I have to treat people nicely, how dare you!

I am so sad, gloomy, resentful, and angry about modern American values, I am going to join a crazy angry cult and vote for the craziest.

The only way my candidates don't win is because perverts cheat. We will show them, soon.
How many total felonies will Trump be indicted for and when will he spend a day in jail? How will this make most people feel? How shocked will the cultists be when they see they have a minority view?

Like Nixon, this will have a long-term impact. Nixon got away with it. I don't think Trump will. But the rot and insanity have spread too deep and the crazies will be a more prominent part of political America going forward.

Will they let Gary have conjugal visits?
A woman was sentenced on Thursday to more than 21 years in prison for mailing letters containing the lethal substance ricin to President Donald J. Trump ...

I bet their dirty talk is just screaming insane conspiracy theories at each other about how Trump is a secret Russian robot run out of a bunker in Alabama by Kid Rock.

I think GaryD is going deeper into an alternate reality and with every post, he digs into it deeper.

To say that "Nixon got away with it" is hyperbole at best, an outright LIE is more like it. How does RESIGNING from the Presidency (as POTUS) even CLOSE to "get away with it"? He would have likely been ousted by the Senate and resignation spared him THAT embarrassment. Sure, Ford pardoned Nixon, to AVOID the divisiveness, hatred, and vile that we NOW see. It put an end to "put Nixon on Trial" (as is now being done to Trump) and Nixon may have gone to jail. We as a nation did not need that.

AND, despite Nixon's MANY FAULTS, he did not play the role of SORE LOSER (unlike Trump) when he narrowly lost to JFK in 1960.

To balance things out, I still say that Trump CANNOT get re-elected in 2024. I said it already, on Wed Oct 26, 2022, and before:
https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... &start=100

GaryD fails to see that he is about as bad, divisive, and biased as those he accuses on the extreme Right. Open you eyes and your mind, GaryD. Life looks rather narrow looking up through a sewer grate.

FORD pardoned Nixon rather than having a Republican president go on trial, teaching Republican politicians they are above the law as long as other Republican politicians have power.

He got away with it.
