Mathematically this is correct, but I wrote that the chapter is dedicated to geometry thus we need to think in geometrical terms rather than just pure mathematics. Let me explain with two songs with symetric and antisymetric geometry.

To my belief, humans have orthogonal sight, meaning that they can clearer percieve lines than curves and easier spot and imagine antysimetric parts.

To my belief, animals have spacecurved sight because they easier perceive small vibrations around us. Thus, if human see level 1 orthogonal then animal can see level 2 spacecurved. Thus, animals better see small symetrical vibrations than humans who better see small antisymetrical vibrations. Therefore, to my belief the second video shows how animals perceive spacecurved environment, through both x and y (and z in 3D) simetry.
Regarding sign (-) it is obtained when symetry (+) and antisymetry (-) are acting simultaneously.
Thus, -2 is when humans and animals (2) perceive symetry and antisymetry (-)
4 is how all beings perceive only symetry, when second video is divided into 4 quadrants symetrically then it is numerically +4.
-8 is how all beings perceive symetry and antisimetry together because adding antisimetry with 2 diagonal lines to the 4 quadrants of symetry makes 8 windows and (-) sign is because of simetry + antisimetry.
16 is when adding 4 new diagonal lines into 4 quadrants of symetry but from two edges that do not already have antisymetric line. Sign is (+) because it is symetry+antisymetry+antisymetry, I hope this is understandable. Also, lines forming 16, when plotted in 3D, can form diamonds, that is why I indicated diamonds in these verses in the first place.
