in west philadelphia born and raised on the playground is where i spent most of my days
chilling out relaxing and actin' all cool and shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
when a couple a' guys who were up to no good
started making trouble in my neighborhood
so i got in one little fight and my mom got scared
and she said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in bel air
i whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice on the mirror
if anything this cab was rare but i thought "nah, forget it...yo homes to bel-air!"
i pulled up to a house about 7 or 8 and i yelled to the cabbie yo homes smell ya later
looking at my kingdom i was finally there to sit on the my thrown as the prince of bel-air

Will Smith is a good actor. He isn't the best actor, or even one of the best actors, we aren't saying that, but he is a good one.

Yeah, I stand corrected - I've just remembered those outstanding performances in Wild Wild West, Men in Black and Hitch.

Roll on the Oscars

Next you'll be telling me his music's good!

It's good in the sense that it isn't bad. I'd say tolerable. :P

He was great in Pursuit of Happiness and in Enemy of the State.

His music is good.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

I hate his music, his acting is mostly terrible, but I find his personality, voice and his facial expressions rather captivating. This usually draws people into the plot ( even if it's a shitty one ), think of things on the broader view, there's more to being an actor then actually acting. I mean, obviously a lot of people like him, or like you enjoy watching his movies to criticize on them later and in the long run, who cares what you think? As long as there all making money it doesn't matter if you rag on his acting or the movies he plays in, because at the end of the day he has probably made more then you do in a year.

There IS a difference between mindless flaming and intelligent debate, some people might be flaming just Will Smith, but why move a valid topic?

Finally saw it.......I haven't read the book, but I thought it was great. Very interesting, and Will Smith was better than I expected. Although I just love this whole genre of movies/books, so I am very biased, I thought it was good all-around.

Whether or not Smith is a bad actor, IMO he's just too corny (then again there are cornier in hollywood) to be taken seriously. He's always gotta have his daily straight-faced one liner, and he can't pretend to be surprised, shocked or scared; he either turns a possibly fatal moment into a joke or tries to hold it in and be all stoic.

Without any bad jokes?

Meh, maybe he only tries to be funny when there are female characters on the set, but when he's the only one there he probably brings out his oscar winning alter ego

Love the book. Love "the Last Man on Earth". Love Vincent Price. Hate Will Smith.

Why?

There once was another great book called "I, Robot". It was so horribly butchered in the movie that I can't associate anything from the movie in a positive way again. I know it isn't all Will Smith's fault, but from then on, I puke whenever I see him. And cry tears of blood.

:o I liked I, Robot. Wasn't like Asimov's stuff, but then again, I sort of disassociated the movie from him. I thought it was entertaining, which is all you can ask for from a movie. Plus, Alan Tudyk = teh love.

I am Legend sucked, though. I didn't get why creatures that had total social and whatever it was degeneration formed packs and made traps and... oh, nevermind.

I didn't like it. Although it did almost begin to compensate for the Independence Day dog not dying.

ive seen it three times, i like the movie a lot, and i didint realize it was a book, but as for the ending i didint see it coming soo it must be coming from the book readers... i can usually tell what is about to happe and this one had me jumping a few times... (the Saw movies that people were so loving i was bored of and talked with a friend in the movie how to make the traps bettter and what was gonna happen next... it was simple)

well thats my take...
I am slowly going insane, thanks to Jay, Brandon (the douch tool) and sammy gags for his pic of bubba....

How can you blow the ending of something that plenty of people have already read? My bet is the movie has been altered from the book, must be quite an alter though for the ending to be ruined.

when they say he "blew the ending", they mean it literally. He actually Blew it up!
