There are not that many people who really play a lot of "balanced" 1v1's here. I almost exclusively play 1v1, and I think anything above 50% is respectable.
It's all relative to the settings you play on. If you play sequential, you've got to deal with come from behind second draws a lot. If you play freestyle, I'd probably say 50% is definitely not so respectable.
As for multi-player games, if you count all the team wins where you're playing with other high ranked folks who don't screw things up for you, a respectable win rate should be much higher than 50%, not lower!
Non-team multi-player pick-up's will definitely bring down a win rate, which is why you see guys on the top of the leaderboard with high scores and 40-ish% win rates.

Well yes anything above 50% is respectable because the odds of you winning in a 1v1 game before its even been created are 50/50
Me personally I play a lot of games of all different varieties. Helps me broaden my skills. More points and more medals
Just upped my win pefcentage from 29% to 30% well chuffed haha got my sights set on 31% lol

first off, this was the worst bump of all time. the guy probably doesn't even post anymore, owen is banned for about 3 more weeks, and timminz's post was the best of the bunch so far.

that doesn't make sense. for example:
there are 4 players, a, b, c, and d. they each play each other once.
a beats b a beats c a beats d b beats c b beats d c beats d d loses all 3 games he plays
a: 100% wins in 3 games b: 66% wins in 3 games c: 33% wins in 3 games d: 0% wins in 3 games
the average win percentage is 200%/6 games played = not 50%

You're not a douche, but it isn't correct. You can't add percentages that way. To take your example:
There were 6 games. For each game there are 2 outcomes, win and lose. Thus there are a total of 12 outcomes.
a won 3 b won 2 c won 1 d won 0
Thus there were 6 win outcomes out of 12, 50% total wins.
Another way to look at it:
a won 100% - above average b won 66% - above average c won 33% - below average d won 0% - below average
If you want to work out what the average of those is you'd have to do it like this: (100+66+33+0)/4 = 50 Divide by 4 as you're taking the average of 4 numbers.
It doesn't matter how many people play as long as no 3rd result is possible, the number of wins expected will always be 50%
