Ok, perhaps i was a bit too soft. Jay: why on earth would anyone believe the words of a writer on (effectively) LSD? Sure, Lennon wrote some cool stuff whilst tripping, but I don't think he claimed to be an authority on the end of the world. I find John the Druggie a bit hard to take seriously.

See the thread where I called backglass a "potato".
(I'm not going to explain it AGAIN)

Yeah, I was being deliberately over the top. I have no idea whether he was a drug addict -but its common knowledge amongst theologians and historians that he was chewing some far out herbal shit when he wrote Revelations. The best evidence is to read it - its some seriously wacky shit.
btw i wont convince you, because i don't have a link -its called "memory" and i read it in it a book years ago. Sorry about that. Still, thats how most folk operate -you don't walk through life with a stack of footnotes under your arm. But yeah, Johnnie Boy was twatted when he wrote it.

so - drop some acid, wriite up your experiences on some old parchment and bury it in the hope that a few thousand years from now, a bunch of evangelical reformed scientologists will be poring over it, going 'It's clear - the giant flying vaginas pursuing him through the kaleidoscope can only refer to the United Nations'

No, Hal Lindsey has been studying End Time Prophesy for over 30 years, he has written numerous book on the subject. I, unlike some here, read. The meaning of Revelation was "locked up" until the time of the end. Now people are really starting to understand the meaning of Revelation.
I have been studying my groin for over 30 years and that also has proved rather pointless.
