Elk this is not soley to you but you are the current face of the objections to the actions of some of the denizens of Conquer Club. Please do not take this personally as i mean this in the best manner.
I will say this, often a bit of spontanious spam in certain subjects keeps people from going off on each other. While i can understand that some people do not appreciate spam and such i would wonder why someone who dislikes spam would troll.
I have seen many of your posts Elk and while i can respect many of the posts you have made i have to wonder if you asked yourself the three post questions:
One: Is my post really necessary or is it just mental diarrhea? I really dont think that you are going to change anyone with this post. First off, by the fact that spamalot has over 20000 post i must conclude that outside of a few incidents the moderators have found that they do not really find it as offencive as you do. Secondly if you really think little of spammers do you really think that this will change them. I personally like most of what i have seen but i am merely trying to see it from your perspective.
Two: Am I trolling or feeding a troll? In this i would stipulate that by posting you are being if nothing else, rude. I justify stating this by saying that with your first post you blatantly insulted anyone who you think is a "spammer." While i can understand you have your right to your own opinion the "Chatter Box/Social Lounge (I/II)" have never been welcoming to abusive trolls and insulting people in an initial post i would call trolling. The first part of the post is nice but why insult people. Insulting people is the best way i know of to feed a troll. If you insult most people they will respond, and you should know that most of those you accuse of spamming will read this. Infact your statement of provoking the commons is "feeding a troll: 101"
Three: Really? Really? I must wonder if posting an objection to spamming in this forum while expecting it to make a difference, isn't that delusional? Did you actually expect change? No offence but ........really?
