What is the point of home and away if the map is the same for both?? Someone always has to be home... Why not just say best of 3??

In Texas Rangers.. as long as the map is the same for both home and away.

Edited to say I now see the point as teams will play whoever till it is all over. BTW 122 teams does not come out even so which 6 teams get a bye into round 2?
