Suffice it to say that my faith in girls to make reasonable decisions in love is pretty low. I'm sure there are girls like the ones on most television shows and movies and romantic novels... I have yet to become well acquainted with one, though...
Meh- don't lose faith in that. That's when you know you're in a deep funk. Go out with some friends and chat to a girl, and make sure you have no agenda. Just talk and enjoy yourself. Nothing else will get you over a bad relationship faster than realising that other women enjoy your personality. Go out and talk, and don't go fishing for a new partner. No overthinking Mr 9blue. No doubts, no agenda, just really talk to the next girl you meet. You'll feel better.
Yeah and don't be cynical. Maybe there's nobody out there that'd do, in which case the worst that can happen is you're better off on your own. Maybe there is, in which case you'll prolly find 'em.
Hah it was like almost a year ago, so I'm less bitter now. Thanks though. I'm a hopeless romantic but I've tried to lower my expectations for other girls I've met. Hopefully one manages to stand out above the rest... we'll see.

Oh, Hugh and Titanic..............f*ck off you young whippersnappers. Nothing wrong with a bit of experience.
Wow, you took that badly....
that's not taking it badly, that's just a bit of raw humour. anyway what GK said Hugh and Titanic do one.

You are all still kids, I met my misses in 82, she was a ' Blitz girl ' . First night back at her place in Kilburn and met her flatmate ( gay ) who was chatting to Boy George who loudly asked my misses who the hippy was , I responded by asking her who the fat poof was
As an elder statesman here, I would like to point out that whether you're 13 or 39 there's someone younger.
And two things can hapen to you: you can get older than you are right now, or you die.
Actually (assuming you din't die since I typed that) both will happen.
Either way, you'll never be younger than you are now, and you'll always be older.
