I've signed up for two mafia games, hoping to moderate one, and the community can use my thread for reference. I don't see where I'm not putting enough effort. I'm on conquerclub 24/7. Even if this isn't used in the awards, we can use it to begin a record of all mafia games played. With all due respect I disagree with you guys, and if you think I should put more effort, give someone who is willing to help a 'respected' job in the awards.

It's more a matter of visibility. Do we see an indie actor given a job hosting the Academy Awards? No, we see established actors and entertainers hosting the awards. So you have to be established by playing in a lot of games and being visible to be recognized as suitable. This logistical stuff doesn't make the average mafia player more visible. And as for modding games, I think the reason why nobody is really showing interest in your game is because you're once again a relative unknown. Play some games, prove you're an active and good player, and people will be willing to play your modded games.

Thanks for the advice, I was just a bit angry that my work just to help people wasn't apprently 'respected'. I am putting effort into playing games AND helping the community when the time comes for this event. Just because I wanted to help. Mr. Squirrel has already used my incomplete list in the CC Mafioso forum to check if his Briarsburg game made the cut for the awards, which it didn't. I don't want to start a fight, I want to help out. Thank you for understanding.

Sens I think everyone respects that you are putting this kind of time into the mafia community. I am simply trying to steer you towards a way that will gain you more productivity and recognition. If you were to put this kind of effort into your actual mafia games in building cases, discussing,and improving, you'd likely become a very well respected player quickly.

These are the most positive words I have received since I started playing mafia. I am looking forward to the two matches I have singed for and thank you for your opinion. I am going to finish 'this effort' (no need to reveal the secret any more to others) and then after the 'special event' look forward to giving my 100% in the mafia games.
