I'm suspicious of player I can't decide if she is just new or having a hard time as scum.. First she didn't want to say anything about anyone and then she pushed for wing saying he was going hard after her when he wasn't really.. since then she stops by drops a vote on someone saying very little.. Also not really liking that she voted for LSU because of the faulty inventions but then was super quick to vote me after one was used on me..

This was an error. I remembered suspicion for LSU earlier and thought to go back there instead of taking out Deg, but anyway.... could not check in yesterday, am weeding through the dialogues today.

2 questions. First, why are we so sure of IB? Initially, we were pushed to lynch someone who was not specifically identified by anyone other than IB as anti-town.

Aladdin, also, keeps pushing for lynches even while making accusations about others bandwagoning. Maybe this is just normal mafia game play, but seems a lot of back and forth twists and turns.

Also, why, again, is DJ a target? I am rereading, but it still is not clear to me. Maybe I am tired and missing it, but if you can explain? Staying with my "no lynch" vote for now, until I get a real choice.

If you're going to vote for someone for scummarining, why not rish?

He commented on Feb 25th, disappeared for 5 days, then logged in on the 1st to jail rage for no apparent reason, and didn't bother to post in the game at that time. Then after another 4 days he pops back in to say that he jailed rage, but doesn't say why. He echoes my question about how rage knew he was blocked, and echoes TWR's reason for voting DJP. Who knows when he'll return next?

He said the case against me was rubbish, and refused to vote for me. But if both he and I are town, then benga has to be scum, yet he's never voted for benga, or said what he thinks is going on with his accusation. He's not a newbie, and has given no explanation for his extended absences. His recently play has not done anything to help resolve the situation with benga's accusation, and jailing rage only prevented any chance of rage proving his inventions.

And to answer your earlier question:

what i find interesting here is why did scum kill lsu and not ragian?

LSU was a confirmed inventor, who's inventions actually did something, though it is unclear exactly how they work. I think most people already assumed he was town, and though killing him confirms it, it also prevents any more inventions which might help clear things up. There is much more of a question about which side rage is on, and whether his inventions do anything. If he is town, then killing him would pretty much clear benga (because his investigation reported him as town), and mean that rish or I was scum. Jailing rage only ensured that nothing new could be learned about him today.

Finally, this is DJ's second game, so I think it's far too easy to target him for "scummarining" when he may just be overwhelmed by the size and complexity of the game. I don't see any real case against him, so I think it is misguided to go shooting in the dark just because we can't figure out which of benga, rish and I are scum. We would probably know if it weren't for rish's actions, so I'm ready to...

Because when inexperienced people play mafia, they typically stick to tropes like "scummarining" to help them figure out who is mafia rather than doing it the right way. The case against DJP is paper thin, and I'm inclined to agree with deg that rish has been about as useful lately as DJP has.

It's always context-dependent. In the case of TWR he's basically the most confirmed town player we have, due to Marashu's investigation.

Basically, with all the votes getting only townies, I am really questioning if all these confirmed town folks really are town. But, maybe that IS my inexperience.

Initially, I was suspicious of IB, IWR, metafax, white rose, LSU, WIng and a couple of others. I was obviously wrong on some of them, but I am reluctant to just follow the predominant reasoning (maybe just me being obstinate?) without re-analyzing. for now, staying with no lynch, though I realize the deadline is near (it was the 7th, right?)

What invention is DJP talking about?

I think he's talking about the theoretical invention that Aladdin suggested.

We ask Ragian N6 to invent sumtink dat gives a 1-shot day vig power - I don't know if teh Mods will allow it, but it dozent hert to ask - and give it to TWR, as proven Town, to take a shot at whoever he finds scummiest.

So you could invent it on N6, we use it on N7 (benga says that inventions can only be used at night now) and finally on D8 we find out if your inventions work. But if we haven't figured it out by then some other way, I don't think it's going to matter.

I am not convinced DJ should be the lynch, but am willing to listen. I am less sure than ever on the Deg et al, the idea of waiting does sound OK on that. (but again, I am willing to hear contrary ideas). Any other ideas?

He is 100% confermed because he was cheked by teh revived Marashu who is now ded agin and who flipped Town Insane Cop. Wen sumwun flips we get too know 100% fer shore their roll and alinement. Sinse we know Marashu flipped Town Insane Cop and he got an anti-Town resolt on TWR, we flip dat resolt (becorse insane) and we know 100% dat TWR is Town. We can twust Marashu's resolt becorse we know he was Town.

Well, not reely. You've been playing in dis game for over two munths, and red thru (I hope) over 3000 posts. Dat shood be enuff to clue you in a bit on how teh game is played.

I tink teh reeson sum peepul (inclooding me) find you and DJP a bit scummy is dat yer not reely doin teh werk a Townie needs to do. Townies' job is to find and kill scum. Dat meens doin teh hard werk of sifting thru orl teh posts and voting patterns etc. and trying to deduce who is scummy frum dat. You help Town (and help establish yer Towniness at teh same time) by making an ackshual contribushun to finding scum. Just cheking in with vacuous comments dat dont contribute to finding scum does nuthing to help Town or establish yer Towniness.

Take your pick. I don't think we have any evidence to rule out any of these options, so there's nothing to be done about it until we have more information.

DJP's meta in dis game is markedly diffrent to teh Beginner's game. He did a lot of unhelpful rants in dat game too, witch is why peepul thort he was scum even tho he was Town, but his tone in dis game has consistantly been mutch more aggresive. Even wen he was under a lot of preshure in dat other game and looked like geting linched at wun point, he never got dis agresive, I think.
