Africa deserves less than Europe cause Africa needs to defend 3 spots and Europe 4. also a few more islands would be underwater like tristian and most of Hawaii if not all

One more time: Africa really qualifies as 8 territories and 4 borders because you need the Atlantic ports to fortify back and forth.
And regarding the islands:

first of all, its not a post-apocalyptic world. this amount of global warming would take place over hundreds of years, so its not like there are gonna be giant tidal waves that flood the coasts. and dont you think humans would EVENTUALLY see the threat and adapt a little? people could build off previously flooded islands so they wouldnt have to make the ports floating or start building off the ocean floor. and these ports wouldnt be huge cities or anything. they would be international ports for ships and aircraft. so, for my map, i took current, centralized islands and turned them into ports. and finally, in response to the comment about moscow being gone, cities like that could be saved, i just didnt see the point in putting a bunch of little major cities off the coast of every continent
and about playability. without the ports, it would just look even more like the classic map. thats actually the reason i put the ports and the uninhabitable zone in, so it would be different from classic
Just wondering, is Indian Ocean Port going to get a name? Sorry if I missed it, but 28 pages is a tad dense. If it is, somewhere in the BIO or Mauritius (if you moved it a touch) would be good.

I think Mauritius is too close to Madagascar to work. Also, what is BIO?
I honestly believe continent bonuses should be as small as possible for the bigger continents. That way, they will be easier to hold, since folks are usually not as angry about somebody having a bonus of 2 or something. In addition, this lax approach toward somebody holding big continents with small bonuses will make the bigger continents more attractive, thus balancing the game. As is the current precedent, there are generally 1 or 2 holdable continents for each map, and if anyone dare attempt take Europe they risk having the rest of the board turn on them.
are you going to move the army circles at all for the smaller islands?
currently new zealand and iceland are both totally covered by their circles. new zealand is easier to figure out which continent it belongs to, but iceland is very ambiguous

just my opinion.
in conclusion Europe's bonus should be 3 or 4
...so you're saying we should start an uprising to revamp all of RISK just so you can take North America w/o getting your butt kicked? heres my advice. GOOD BORDERS! THAT WAS THE SINGLE DUMBEST SUGGESTION ON THIS THREAD!
