I would not count this as a clan war. We had all the different participants, with and without a clan. Also in the clan war you are not supposed to play your team mates. Here you did.

It is a team challenge.

How can you penalize the second time for not joining when one member of the first time never did? They can't join until both members of team 1 are in. We are still waiting for one of our games to start too. 3486789

you have received the penalty for game 3486721. Not for 3486789.

None of the 2 teams has joined in 2 days.

To be precise, each finalist will play 3*44=132 games in total.

There will be 144*4+264*(2+1)=1368 games in the total tournament. Which makes this one of the biggest tournament in the history of CC.

I will run next tournament some time second part of November. There will be even more games there ;) See you all there!

Please post your suggestions. it is time for you to get heard ;)

I know- I didn't mean our game. I was sticking up for forefall and mozes :D I mentioned the game number we were in as another game that had not started yet this round.

Anyway, never mind- to heck with them. They are beating the crap out of us this round anyway.

Next season thoughts...

Any chance of kicking out the maps that have starting territory counts of 12 and 15? - they have a serious first mover advantage.

I know you have your structure pretty set, but have you considered a "full league", where everyone plays everyone else to start with, before a bottom % (half maybe) are culled? Then start again with the remaining teams but with twice the number of games - rinse and repeat for a third time.

good idea. I would have to update the map list anyhow.

I was thinking about the full league. In fact it was my ideal way of running the league. But the table of standing will become so huge!

I am not sure if i can make it work. But now I have added the sending personalized PMs with the game numbers... Let me see what I can do.

What about starting out with groups where everybody plays each other once and following that up with a bracket system (including a Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket)?

Not sure if i like the bracket system, especially where so much luck is involved...

Well i think you have the system almost perfect ... perhaps you 'could' have a best of 5 knock-out after an initial phase of League games.

First phase - Leagues proceed in the normal way
Quarter Final - Best of 5 Knock-out stage
Semi Final - Best of 5 Knock-out stage
Final - Last 2 teams play a best of 7 or perhaps 9 to decide the champion

but really i am talking for talkings sake

well actually i think the present system gives Jim and Fisty the best chance of victory! .. so i too think you have it absolutely right and no need for change!

anyone who agues against that at this point is trying to lessen the probability of our victory. By definition any dissenters as to the present structure are very frugal of spirit and graceless!

note for Andrew: jim is joking.
