5431 and . 1168 for the month (still a few hours to go and like I said you can't take a number from days out as this rises quicker towards the end of the month as more players hit 20 finished games)

the dwindling numbers absolutely have nothing to do with the way CC staff & Volunteers (members who represent the company) talks too & treats members... they are professional & take their jobs seriously...

1164 players playing 20 plus games should tell cc club all it needs to know .retention of the new recruits is dismal .
i see teegee you are posting game start numbers . how many of those games are quality games meaning all show up and play.

i looked in to yesterdays speed games most of the 6 player classic opened never even filled . the games that do over half have deadbeats or players not taking a turn . the vast majority of speed games are all 1 v 1 or multi player baltic crusade.
the quality of play has dropped huge. no real time action . dubs trips quads have died completely in real time as have most 6 player and up games. we have 5400 members most of whom cant play real time as the 4 games are restricted to dulls ville or 24hour games

site must include these 4 games to include speed game s and sooner then later . it helps fill games it gets new players in the action now a must to retain them . yesterday i seen it first hand a newbie logs on joined 2 games went second in both 3 mins later gone and not returned . this is the norm for many new players joining . eliminate the newbies from random map is another step needed . many open that setting only to open a complicated map like city mogal or hive ect .not having a clue on how to play .

new blood is vital and currently cc club cant maintain them nor will they under current conditions . leave it alone hope for the best isnt working , with 1200 playing 20 games plus in jan tells us its going to drop as summer months approach .to put it simple all 5400 members current are needed in every section the site offers ,

honestly.. I would suggest removing Global Chat off the main page and tucking it away into a forum category.. 75% of the time members are either using profanity, talking down about a certain group of people, complaining, or doing whatever they can to get the coveted 24 hour useless ban..
I used to engage in Global chat.. I am not innocent. but having that aspect of the site front & center for new recruits to blankly stare at in shock & aww might be a main reason they do not stick around...

putting global chat 3 page clicks away from the main page. .might save the site..

' just saying..

for the most part, Global Chat is usually devoid of negative chatter that would warrant its placing on Page 3 or so other obscure place.

It is generally a good place for anyone to ask a question, post a comment, or even for a NR to post a question and get help rather quickly. Some want to act as the trolls they are and continue in that negative communication angle. I say ignore most of those trolls.

I think anyone who uses any profanity should just get auto banned by some bot. I agree about general chat, but don't know the solution. I agree that it is filled with trolls mostly, and people who aren't a great representation of a fun place to be :)

lol global chat should be helpful to the new recruits but can see this point 100 percent . for the most part its just a verbal war zone and religious rants not very welcoming thats for sure .

CC has been declining for more than 10 years. That's not news. What is new is that the decline has slowed down a lot. The year-over-year drop between Dec 18 and Dec 19 is miniscule, as opposed to the HUGE drops we had in some previous years.

In 2015 we lost something like 20% of the membership in one year (actually worse than one year, most of the drop happening in 8 months or so.)

The decline is continuing, obviously, but it is a very very slow leak now. They years from about 2011 to about 2015 were where the biggest crash happened. Then things leveled off during '16 and '17, and then there was another big crash in '18.

Thats just the one month. Look at the full year for the whole picture. Nearly every month was down. Yes, December they managed to get a nice surge, but long term trends still don't show that being the case moving forward. Averaging 10-15% per year isn't a "very very slow leak".

Using trend data you can find the following (using averages seen onsite for the whole year) using actual site data:

2015 - 8,172.58
2016 - 7,551.33
2017 - 6,692.17
2018 - 5,770.67
2019 - 5,161.50
2020 - 4,328.80
2021 - 3,548.52
2022 - 2,768.23
2023 - 1,987.95
2024 - 1,187.08
2025 - 426.55
2026 - (339.22)

So without outside influences just utilizing the trends from 2015 to 2019, the hinge point is '24-'26 without external influences and improvements. One good month won't upset the long term trends here.

Panic stations

PANIC STATIONS :lol: :lol: :lol:

If we look at the same figures on landgrab they have been sitting on your 2025 predicted numbers for years.. There is a point where site stats will level off.
CC will never be what it was in 2009 because, well facebook, smartphones, technology in general. But there will always be a core base.
Grandfather's will show their grandkids, all might try, 1 or 2 might stick around.
Some people play only in winter, others only on weekends
Wham didn't buy CC to make millions, he brought it because he loves the game and the site
Saying the site will die is utter crap and fear mongering. It will likely get smaller in userbase terms, but will always exist.

So is the goal then to be the next land grab? Like, thats a thing thats desirable? No, of course not.
Never said it needs to be what it was in 2009, hell, its not even the site it was in 2018.
But as people go and no new maps are made, there will be less games, less participation, less things available for fun and enjoyment of those people who are left. It won't "likely" get smaller, it IS getting smaller, actively, nearly every month. It may exist, but that doesn't mean the level of play, availability, access to high quality games, opponents, etc will remain. Eventually, that core base can erode if nothing is done. As the quality of games and competition diminishes, that "leveling off" your talking about becomes less and less likely, especially if no improvements, no new maps, or changes. Eventually, it gets boring and the quality of game becomes lower and all those options you refer to become a more attractive option as the quality of play here diminishes

I haven't said panic, or that wham has to make millions, or even the site will die (beyond showing trends and data points in where it needs intervention to remain relevant / non land grab "who cares" level) and that something needs to happen beyond what its current trend in order for it to possibly hope to improve and bring new life to the site. Well aware of why Wham bought it and what his goals were when he purchased :geek:

The point is, go back here https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... 5#p5129703
and read Page 160-162 and look at how the mods are celebrating "growth" on the site, when in fact the month(s) in question actually declined. It just looks silly.

difference from 2015 to present is the game quality /wait times deadbeats are at an all time high driving members away at least from subscribing . cc club has lost the quantity now the quality . the real time gaming on site for 6 player and up is dead wait times are just too long if the game fills at all. members resorting to posting call outs to try and play in real time are not filling . then looking into the games that are being played 1 v 1 or 1 v 1 poly the 3&4 player games classic and balltic crusades 6 player games are filled with deadbeats or in most cases players not showing up at all .

the foe and move on philosophy adds the final nail in the mix . with real time players on site at an all time low and most having one or even a few foed this is a direct result of games not filling . imagine how hard it would be to get tournaments filled if foes were in that mix . in order to save the real time gaming on site it s time to limit the foes to 24 hour play or maybe an option when starting a speeder to exclude foes /include foes . with the amount of games opening and never filling ,numbers mega low how else can we fill these waiting games ??

and for teegee its not my issue its a real time multi player issue

per Teegee's suggestion i checked out Landgrab.. they seem decent enough. .
no global chat on main page. .
instead they give site stats..

Server Stats
Users logged in:
128
Server load:
7%
Registered users:
108574
Active games:
2377

```````````````
here are a few trinkets i see when i log onto CC main page via a simple up scroll in global chat currently:
"Trump is a hillbilly in a suit. "
"And that wide tie, only hicks wear wide ties. "
"Boys, get out and vote against the hillbilly, let's take back our country from the carnies. "
"Everything is fine is you're rich and white... "
" USA has problems, but we aren't quitters. The dutch surrendered to Hitler without a fight. "
" Come at us with your hopelessness BS, you get tagged,"
"countdown to race war? "
( and i currently have about 20 members foed for harrassing behavior.. so i do not even see the bulk of things in GC..... i can only assume it's even worse then what i see )
…. when new recruits sign up or long term members log in & see a global chat packed with derogatory language like this.. no wonder they don't come back..
I've been on and off the site since 2017 I think and every time the number of active players would be the first thing I'd check. Just curious, what's this whole qualified player thing about? I think unless there's some revival, CC will continue to decline. The biggest thing about CC for most of us I think has always been the community. People come and go, but most have simply gone. Would be interesting to see the number of people who have participated in this thread who have left themselves. I come back once in a while to enjoy a good game, maybe for the nostalgia but it's really not the same anymore.
I'd just like to point out also that even though the small user base is kinda depressing, a nice small community is formed, so that's something to be grateful for. Doesn't seem to have a lot of the problems other modern multiplayer games face what with the influx of annoying kids and their mods.
qualified player = 20 games and up in a 30 day period . i maybe wrong but thats how i think it goes .
