Someones life is taken from them. Even if it is a state-endorsed act it is still a murder.

Not at all. The Biblical Christian worldview holds that government is the proper entity to carry out capital punishment. It's to be practiced as long as it is proportional, intent is shown, due process is given, individual responsibility is met, it is applied fairly, and there is a certainty of guilt. Government's role is to attempt to punish and restrain evil.
