After the start of the site, that map probably made the biggest change to game play that any map has ever made. More even than doodle I think. Probably have to give a nod to AOM too I guess. Very revolutionary maps, all of them. City mogul too. Like them or not, they all introduced original aspects to the game.
AK_Iceman "stole" (which was the term used in a local newspaper, unfortunately that story no longer appears on a simply google search) internet access outside the public library in Palmer, Alaska in order to play CC. He was busted by some local cops in his car outside accessing their wireless after hours. The local newspaper article even mentioned Conquer Club. Good times.

I was the famed spammer of CC
I was irritating
I was in a game with 7 new recruits who deadbeated in a sequential game back when deadbeats earned no points...
Remember:
- AK_Iceman
- Moz_<insert abritrary units>
- Surrender Button
- Freestyle Double Turns
- Before Spamalot
- When there were only 3 maps
- I had the lowest score on CC excluding benjij
- When gabbly was the chat
Need I continue?

Gabbly chat, the Region of Risk Fans and the fact that no new usergroups were allowed to be created, when mafia was actually active *sigh* and all the games were just in off-topics, when there were no sub-boards in the forum, there was a mod called Hugh G. Rection, when half the mods here were trolls, before 1vs1 games, assassin games and speed games existed
Flame Wars in the olden days, and then in the stache days was wonderful. Looking at this thread: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... f=6&t=9668 (best posts of 2006). Annoying amount of them are now no longer accessible because they were made in flame wars.

Remember when all the active games were in order by when you joined them and you had no idea how much time was left in each one unless you entered the game.

I guess I haven't been here long enough to remember that.
Must have been before Lack showed it to anyone else I'm guessing.
That was before the bugs started showing in the games, and rules were needed to fix things. 2 dimes , glad to see you are still around ! Gimme a shout some time .
