ljex wrote:While i agree with you, it is kinda hard for him to provide any evidence which would be verifiable as to his whereabouts at that time. Simply put i dont see why he would point dump in the first place, and then if he did why he would post from 3 different accounts trying to clear his name.
Well, maybe instead of trying to provide evidence to the contrary (which he said he may be able to do in one of his posts somewhere...) he could try to figure out how/why the logs show all the action came from his machine? Does he have any roommates? Have their been any issues with his computer lately? Etc.
he already said in one of his posts from another account that he commutes to school and only his mom, dad and brother would be able to use his computer and that he talked to them and they said it wasn't him. I don't really feel like finding which post it was but its there somewhere. Also for it coming from his machine, he said he stays logged on to cc which being his former roommate, I know he does at all times have a tab with cc open i don't know if that effects it and i doubt he does either.
Also for him saying he could provide evidence to the contrary he said something like if this was a real court of law i could have my teacher say i was in class and show the attendance but i doubt cc would view that as official evidence.

Sorry, I must have missed it in all of his postings on other accounts. Just trying to help come up with ideas!
tbh, im shocked at how many people think Commander's guilty as well. personally, I don't really see any motivation for him to do this, especially as he seems to be as he puts it "an extremely active member" and doesnt seem to want to leave anytime soon either.

well umm surely the truth does matter. what if i work out your password or hack your account or something (not that i would) and do something worthy of a ban under your name? u gonna be happy with me teaching you a lesson? doubt it.
Maybe an account sitting feature would be a good idea like you can turn it on/off for selected accounts at certain times who can then have limited priviliges during that time i.e. can't start new games or post in forums or whatever.
and i dont see why he shouldnt be able to defend himself and voice his opinion on the matter in the forums.

Apparently he isn't supposed to defend himself or voice his opinion in public forums or in any way that anyone other than mods can see.

I just can't believe so many people think I'm guilty.
What, do you imagine, would be my motive?
Obviously, I am not quitting CC.
I am an extremely active member and plan on being here for the next 5 years, at the very least.
I have an obligation to my clan and to all my teammates.
I am active on the forums and know that point-dumping is illegal.
You all know that I have "point-dropped" before, right? A year-and-a-half ago, I was at 3000+ and dropped to 1400 by playing 1v1s and speed doodles.
I'll get you the thread where I discuss my decision to drop rank when I find it.
The point is, I obviously knew the rules (as all active players do). Why would I risk everything?
Please, please, enlighten me as to the reason you believe I did this.
Like I said, I want to be here. I am very active.
I am a dedicated member and have never had any intention of leaving.
I know the rules, and the fact that I "dropped rank" from 3000+ to 1400 one-and-a-half years ago proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Now i know that me posting for him is against the rules, but its better than him continuing to hack peoples accounts. Anyway if cc really wants to take action against me for this they can, but for now i will go find that thread he made about a year and a half ago.
Way to stick up for your friend! I'm doing my best to support him as well behind the scenes, getting more people in on this.
I've been playing with Commander for a while now and I've never known him to be anything but dedicated to CC. Like rbelgrod said earlier, when one of us messed up in the game, made a mistake, he would go off on us because he really wants to win. He was always helpful, friendly, and selfless with advice and friendly opinions. Why would he then turn around and not only tarnish his reputation, but give his friends the middle finger? He's not that kind of person. If your account was hacked, and somehow your name was on the line, your reputation, wouldn't you do your best to clear your name? They won't let you talk, they won't let you DEFEND yourself. What would you do? What would Jesus do?
Me2. I can get a screen shot of him yelling at me for taking a territory.

His Account was suspended temporarily to prevent anything else from happening. Once King Achilles establishes that he has control his account again / will do no more harm, he'll be back in the forums.
So everyone is busy saying what a great guy Commander is and how he'd never do this... but no one can come up with any reason why there is no log of any other person logging in to Commander's account around the time this all happened?

Wait... hasn't that already been determined by KA stating that no one else is responsble for this but Commander? Or is there doubt out there?

1. played tons of games with commander ; never believed he was a schizophrenic wo would be able to do such a thing like this ?! So let be me clear it would really shock me if it was really him wo did all of this, reasons : he was nuts on winning and points
2. i tried to get some clarity in this case but all what i got from King Achilles was no comment ; so if u let me i will try again here
Is the fact for now Commander is proven "almost guilty because it was his ip saying he was online at that moment of the crime ? or just the lack of not somebody else s ip or proxy ??
That is really puzzling me ..Can a hunter even see if it was a proxy or not on such cases ?

I have not kept tabs on this case and the evidence, so I'll leave that up to KA to respond. I should have added 'once KA can establish he has control of his account / will do no immediate harm' probably.

It was meant as rhetorical question (even if the ? was missing). Of course it matters, but it is somewhat beside the point for the initial locking of the account. If there is further evidence, then the truth should come out. Only time will tell I guess.

don't this make all these people who say he would not do this look bad. maybe just maybe he had a mas rush 2 do it again.
I have always found Commander62890 to be a stalwart and trustworthy player. If his e-persona is a true representation of his actual self, he's the type of guy that I would approve of a very distant female cousin dating so long as she didn't bring him by my house in an attempt for us to bond, or describe to me in any way his different behaviors and mannerisms in an attempt to have me determine how "into her" he was.
I feel this way because in a quads game where we were both invited to the same team, he failed to notice and break a bonus for which I had set him up for 3 consecutive turns. Upon realizing his blunder, he apologized quite sincerely and suggested that I foe him in retaliation. Because of the character that he showed, I did not foe him.
I cannot speak to the facts of the point dumping, but if one were to ask me if I trusted Commander62890 to safely walk an old woman across the street, my response would be "Yes, because there's no way I'm doing it. Those spots all over her hands are gross."

If you look at the case where he did it, it was because he went looking for medals, not to 'point-dump'. Instead of continuing to chase a high score, he instead tried to get different medals like term etc, which obviously caused his score to drop. However, that is now definitely no longer the case, he has gotten all 13 (/14? doubt he's chasing random now tho...) normal gaming medals, he no longer has that as a goal, so the only reason to continue playing this game is to play those games he enjoys (team), and continue getting a higher score I suppose. However, whoever hijacked his account (purportedly) ruined team games he was playing and point-dumped his account. No offense to you if something I had spent so much effort on went down the drain like this, and affected my friends adversely as well...

all it proves is that he can get down to about 1000 points legally, why would he cheat to do something he can do legally if he plans to be here for years to come, which i know he does.
The poll question doesn't make sense. Was is it Commander should probably read: Was/Is it Commander? Not that a poll matters in this sort of situation...

Lovely post which deserves 3 different smileys.
My first thought was a roommate but then when Commander said he lived with his parents and brother, I thought it was probably his brother who point dumped his account.

Idk, I wouldn't be surprised if my brother did it either, but wasn't it suggested earlier that the person who point-dumped did have at least some knowledge of how to play cc, since my brother hasn't played the game before (and therefore I'm assuming that the same can be said for commander's bro) I severely doubt he'd be able to create so many speed games and suicide so effectively.
However, that being said, I do remember teaming with a guy who made a really weird move in the game that he had no recollection of playing, and we discovered that it was actually his 4yo daughter that played the turn, so really, if she can drop troops (albeit in the incorrect place and attacking a neutral), then really anythings possible...

That's an interesting question Leehar. I think they should review the games and see what attacks were made. See if generally he only targeted allies or if it was the likely territory to pop up based on how the drop down menu puts territories alphabetically.
What may seem calculated could just turn out to be random auto-assaulting.

I did notice in the quads games where the suicides took place that it was just random auto-assaulting, irrespective of the team.
