I understand what you are saying, and while IR isn't equal to Matt Damon, you can find everything that has been presented on this site through a google search. You just have to push on for more pages than the average person wants to look through.Gypsys Kiss wrote:If memory serves, you wanted the person using Owens Avatar banned....why was it such a surprise when everyone using the said avatar got banned? Owen keeps screaming out about consistency, well on that occasion he got it.jbrettlip wrote:The page he linked wasn't to IR, or any other CC user. It is just a guy's page....and therefore CC basically has no jurisdiction.
Believe me, the BpB have been all over the personal info rules since the whole clan recieved a ban for including Owen's pic in our sig (yes, it was a witchhunt whcich the mod who banned us openly flaunted).
As for the Matt Damon issue, you can google his name and get all the info you want, but you probably couldn't do that with just a photo of IR's new boyfriend or any other photo of a nameless face.

I agree that revealing one's personal identifiable info is classified as a major infraction. For this case, I think the link was pertaining to someone's profile linking to a CC member. I would take this more as a flame or baiting than a major infraction, but it can also be seen as posting someone's personal information indeed. It is already noted in his record so in case he does this again in the future, we know that it would not be his first time anymore.Serbia wrote:king achilles, I very much appreciate the ruling here. The only further question I have, is why the punishment for this violation is going to be lumped in with a Minor Infraction (in this case, being the maximum 3 month forum vacation) instead of the next-level for a Major/Severe Infraction? The rules clearly state that Personal Information Abuse is a "Major/Severe Infraction", and recent precedent shows that a second Major/Severe Infraction leads to a full website ban. (precedent I'm citing is the Blitzaholic Account Sitting Abuse case) Can you please clarify this point?

Thank you for the response. I appreciate the speed with which this ruling was handed down.king achilles wrote:I agree that revealing one's personal identifiable info is classified as a major infraction. 1 - What that ban warranted or unwarranted according to CC guidelines?
2 - If that ban was unwarranted, is Owenshooter getting any compensation after being unfairly punished?
This would be the wrong thread for that question. To answer your question I don't know but that is something that owen would or should have taken up at the time.Rodion wrote:How do I go about getting my questions mod/admin-asnwered?

Actually, I'm fairly certain he's flogging a dead horse.Army of GOD wrote:Serbia is in no way harassing anyone.

No, he was asking for clarification about if this counts as a major or minor infraction.pancakemix wrote:Actually, I'm fairly certain he's flogging a dead horse.Army of GOD wrote:Serbia is in no way harassing anyone.
