I much face a similar problem. I am a constructivist at heart and it is very tough for me to find anything for which I can affiliate myeslf with. But then I also grew up in a very rural, figure-it-out-for-yourself type environment where a lot of times my solution would be let things fail and hit shit bottom which can conflict with my constructivist view at times.

For the centralized bank thing, I hate the FED as much as the next person, but after taking some econ classes I begin to see why it does have certain advantages even though I dislike it on principle.
