at the moment i only want an overall ability, i dont have the programming power of the people at champ manager to include all them ability stats.

Also what would be a good injury rate in a match

1/3 chance a player gets injured in your team.
1/4
1/5
1/6
1/7
1/8
1/9
or 1/10? or any other amount? Im currently thinking 1/7 and im also considering taking age into account what do you think?
I'm thinking age is just complicating stuff and is unneeded.

1/7 or 1/8 looks good. Except 7 a side that means 1 injury per match. and we have what 3 subs?

im thinking thats far too high actually it should be somewhere around 1/21 as in 1 player injured every three games.

sorry guys all players are from premier league for the time being, however during the season i am planning to have a foriegn transer market, where i will post as many players as possible.

I have updated the first post, it has all info on goalies that will be available in the draft and at the start of the season. It also has all the original strikers and their age, no abilities yet as such. Tommorow i will post defenders and midfielders. Any comments on original players?

i have decided the older a player the more injury prone they will be this is the only thing age will effect.

havent had time to do them, i was planning on doing them yesterday but it got too late.

All the ones you mentioned will be put in, however who is l? Im trying to get a good mix of players from the epl so there is a contrast in abilities between teams.

Are you ok with the strikers and goalkeepers?

pmc maybe it would be better if you didn't tell us the stats? It would make the picking part more fun since people wouldnt nessecarily just pick the highest rankings first

But that way people like LSU and animo wouldnt really know what players to pick, i could do this but i would have to give a rough estimate guide for people.

e.g Ronaldo world class
Fabregas world class
Robinson rubbish
Ballack, above average etc.

Re: Football game. check first post. (57/110 footballers)

Post by sam_levi_11 »

yeah do that. for instance, say out of 100 ronaldo is 95, fabregas 93, adebayor 85 and ballack 79

so you would say
Ronaldo world class
fabregass world class
abebayor very good
ballack talented

so for each ten you have a phrase...that way u dont know exactly how good, but have a rough idea

Sorry sam i should have said the ratings are out of 45 i dont have a clue why i chose that number, i think i will make it 50 as that makes more sense. And i will have a phrase for every 5.

Footballing God (45-50)
World Class (40-44)
Excellent (35-39)
Very Good (30-34)
Good (25-29)
Above Average (20-24)
Average (15-19)
Poor (10-14)
Shite (0-9)

How does that sound?

yeah i may reduce most of them a bit except ronaldo, just to make it clear how awesome he is. Also if they are too high it will screw with the program .

Thanks for your help sam, ive done ratings for all the players listed now, in a while i will post the rest of the midfielders.

maybe reduce them all by 2, and add ronaldo by 1. i think that we need a rule to make sure ronaldo doesnt make sure u always win

lol, im reducing them by a bit more than 2, ronaldo will not be in the 'draft' meaning if you want him you will have to pay a lot in the transfer market meaning that the rest of your teams ability will suffer, if it turns out that his team keep winning because of him his ability will be reduced.

I will add any players here that i havent got during the first transfer window your help is very much appreciated.

I have just posted the rest of the midfielders, i will do their abilities later, if anyone else does them score them out of 100, so that i can change it and you wont know the exact score when it is scaled down. I already have scored the first 20 midfielders all the goalies and strikers.

Sounds good. So is it ready to go once you've got all the players or do you still have more stuff to sort out?

I added your players.

Well you have to pick team names and i need to decide on how the transfer points work but apart from that yeah i think so.

Added defenders and a few keepers. Abilities done for new keepers and ice's strikers.
Im going to make it two games against every other person and an FA cup. There will also be pre-season-games to test that everything works fine and you can test out different players/ training.

To do:
Abilities for defenders
Abilities for bolded midfielders, (maybe add a few more of them too)
Stick ability guides on all players.
You lot need to come up with team names.

Anything else?

Finnan, Skrtel and Arbeloa but not Carragher, Hyypia or Agger?
