I don't know. I'm inclined to believe him, because if he was lying, and is mafia, why would he claim something like this? If we think he may be a sibling to a goon, lynching him would help us and hurt mafia, now wouldn't it? We can afford to lose one townie for one scum. If he was mafia and needed some sort of claim, that would be one of the worst to claim because he's just setting himself up for a sacrificial lynch. My worry is that the cat is a vig and not a goon. The fact that they hunt together makes it seem like a killing role, almost like MOD want;s us to think its mafia. I'd hate to lose a vig that way.

Okay. One thing struck me as being a little odd about this: who keeps a possum as a pet? Is it ever done? If not, could it be that ace has just picked an animal he didn't think would be counter-claimed? I really would like an outside opinion on these questions.

Sounds like an SK waiting to happen. If you're telling the truth about this, that's totally possible, and survivor is not a big deal to lose, especially since they can turn on you in the endgame, something I'd rather not risk.

I only think SK is more likely because you're already 3rd party. Becoming a vig would have you switching sides mid-game, and I'd rather air on the safe side of things because vigs can be dangerous in their own right.

It sounds to me like lynching ace is a fine choice. If we leave him around and eventually lynch the cat, we'll be dealing with a potential serial killer or some sort of 'vengeful night killer' as simon said. If we kill him off now, there's also the possibility of his cat friend being scum and dieing as well.
