And by tomorrow evening, you mean this evening right? Today's the 16th...Chuuuuck wrote:This is a friendly reminder that all whole games need to be sent by tomorrow evening!

Hmmm.... is that still up on the first page?Bones2484 wrote:And by tomorrow evening, you mean this evening right? Today's the 16th...Chuuuuck wrote:This is a friendly reminder that all whole games need to be sent by tomorrow evening!

You did, but I figured either your PM or the post was mistaken. I must have missed the post in this thread where the date was changed... probably buried in all the preemptive Empire-KORT planning for the second round.Chuuuuck wrote: Hmmm.... is that still up on the first page?
I thought I PMed you about this earlier. I posted somewhere else since then that the start date was now the 17th (I did this a couple of weeks ago). The 17th is the start date meaning everyone has until the end of the night tomorrow.
I am sorry for my error in leaving that up. I will go back and fix it and try to make everything more organized so there is no more confusion.
Ooooh, bitter.Bones2484 wrote:You did, but I figured either your PM or the post was mistaken. I must have missed the post in this thread where the date was changed... probably buried in all the preemptive Empire-KORT planning for the second round.
The games have to be set up and at least partially joined (obviously for them to be set up). But they don't have to be fully joined until the day 5 days later when they must be started.Chariot of Fire wrote:spot on mate. 'cup-tied' means you have played for another team in this tourney, not whether you have simply been a former member of a participating clan.
Question (sorry if it's obvious - I've had so little time to play turns let alone read threads). Re the deadline for submitting games.....does the clan send in just maps/settings to the organiser by the deadline, or does the clan send in the game numbers (i.e. they have to have set the games up and join, or partially join, by the deadline)?
My only problem with this rule is Foggy games. I don't plan on joining any away Fog games until the home clan is all in there.Chuuuuck wrote: But they don't have to be fully joined until the day 5 days later when they must be started.
As of now, the 2nd round has to be sent on the 31st of March. I will leave that the same as it is before the Easter Holiday starts. All games need to be joined by April 5th which is the Monday after Easter. I will change this to April 6 giving everyone 2 days after Easter to join the games.ahunda wrote:A question/suggestion: Could you maybe post an up-dated & clear time-line somewhere in the 1st post ?
Today I was asked by a clan-mate about the Cup schedule, cause he is planning his Easter holiday & wanted to know, if he will miss the 2nd set of games in the 1st round then.
I had to search through half the thread to find any info, and I am still not really sure, if I got it right ...
And speaking of Easter holidays, this might cause problems for more of us, if I understand the current schedule right:
1st set of 20 games had to be sent 17-03 & joined 22-03 ?
2nd set 2 weeks later ? Sent 31-03 & joined 05-04 ?
That would be exactly in the Easter holidays. A bit unfortunate timing, no ?
It's not the home team that wants you to join on time - it's the organiser by virtue of the rules. If you want to hang back and not join a foggy so you can be first to see the drop then that's a risk you have to take. It's simply a question of timing.Bones2484 wrote:My only problem with this rule is Foggy games. I know it'll be almost impossible to enforce, but home teams really need to be on top of getting their games filled before they are sent if you want the away team to join on time.
I realize it. But it's always been assumed in every challenge/league/etc that I've been a part of that the home team joins games first (usually before the games are even sent). So why should the visitors be punished even further by a deadline if the home team is slacking?Chariot of Fire wrote:It's not the home team that wants you to join on time - it's the organiser by virtue of the rules. I think it was THOTA and the Monkiis who had the gentlemen's agreement not to take the first turn in a foggy game until 12 hours after the final player had joined in order to make it a little more fair (and I suspect solve the same issue). I like that idea. I'm sure clans can work that out for themselves. I can certainly see it becoming a standard part of future challenges.Bones2484 wrote:I realize it. edit: I'm not saying there is a problem now. KORT had all their games filled and are on top of things. I was more questioning the timing in the future.

Not saying yes for sure. But Yes, I will consider it. We can get through the first 2 rounds before then and then we will be down to the final 4. We can discuss it with the final 4 clans that are left.Blitzaholic wrote:Chuuuuck would you consider like a month break on the CUP for all of us in the summer sometime, maybe the month of July? The reason I am suggesting this is because there is many that vacation it and go out in the summer based on my years of experience on the site.
Ok, I know I speak for several others too, but, we would appreciate it, thanks for the consideration my friend.Chuuuuck wrote:Not saying yes for sure. But Yes, I will consider it.
