I don't see how it's such a difficult issue though. I mean, I KNOW the poor are reproducing at an alarming rate, but I don't know WHY they are. My girlfriend has strict parents (she's asian, if you haven't seen me say that many times in the forum before). So, for our sexual health, I just take her to the clinic in town. They would gladly give us condoms (they always have a basket of them sitting out) and the checkups are free (how are your pills working? Come in for an STD test in a month or two. That sort of thing) and the pills only cost 10 dollars a box. The school nurse gives out condoms and will answer any sexual health questions you may ask, sex ed is taught every year starting with grade 4 or 5 (at least, for us, that's when it started) and yet still, people get pregnant before they're ready. I don't get it... I mean, that's one of the FIRST things we did when we started dating, we got her on the pill. Just incase something happened. THEN, a couple months later, we started having sex, when we were ready and all the fun stuff. And, I mean, I can't see an aborting being too hard to get either. We've never had to find out because we've taken the necessary steps, but still... I just don't get it...
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

Lack of education, no caring, ignorance, being drunk, being stupid...there a variety of reason why the lower classes continually get knocked up earlier on.

@Johhny: The only thing I can say to that is, imagine if none of those incentives were there. Imagine if someone teenager or even suitable aged women gets pregnant and all we do is look away and do nothing. These stuff do help out (from personal experiance and studies), but obviously they are not 100% effective and there will always be people who don't join the mainstream and continue to stuggle or fail.

Also, why would they line up for the sterilisations? What is there incentive for that, and why would they want that done to them? Shouldn't we be performing surgery on all the teenage males who don't use condoms or can't keep it in their pants?

Give the males a 2000.00 incentive, and the females a 5000.00 incentive.
And I'm all for the social supports, I just stated that those supports don't stem the tide all by themselves. Some other controls need to be put in place along side them.

Realistically? Sterilize everyone at birth and then let them earn the privilege to reproduce. Just like one needs to earn the privilege to drive and automobile or perform heart surgery.
