Just looking at the scores, being a higher rank completely puts you at a disadvantage. I have 10 kills with a clean sweep compared to BeastOfBurson's 6 kills with a clean sweep and hes 100 points ahead of me??

yes, i agree with your complaint about higher ranks being at a disadvantage, being 400 points higher than the second ranked player when i started this tourney i was very aware of that fact. However, the #4 and #5 seeds are in the final, and one is currently leading, so the higher skilled can overcome the bias.

BeastofBurson has a second round sweep for double points, the score is credited for 10 kills and 2 sweeps, so the bias is 64 points for equal kills. Do you have any suggestions to improve the scoring? i'd be interested in hearing them.

The only way I could see there being no advantage to anyone would just be a set amount of points per kill instead of using the points total they earned for the kill. I mean, Beast kills dragon in the 2nd round and he gets almost 80 points, I killed dragon in the 2nd round and got 46. A bit of a discrepancy. Other than that though, this has been a really great tourney.

I was contemplating using the system you suggested but i was afraid of ties and how to break them. I think next tourney I'll have 50 round limits and the scoring will be:

51-round of termination

so if you killed another player in round 20, you'd get 31 points. how does that sound?

bump, my kills should be 11 and i never got my points for taking out dragon in the last round

Edit: My kills should actually be 12 now with 30 points for taking out beast in the final game as well as 46 points for taking out dragon dor so my total should be 365.

Your Beast kill is on the board, but your dragon kill was over the time limit, and therefore was not counted in the tallies. My apologies for not being quicker, I've been very busy recently.

And then I was last man standing +20pts
I don't recall the multiplier for the final round...X3? or was this the fourth round..idk. ...so..maybe I got 195pts?
