I'm don't think there's any need for a poll. If he's left the site then he should be removed from the tourney, I believe there's a limit as to how long sitters are allow to sit for in the rules somewhere...

There is a rule somewhere. I think if he is coming back soon its ok, but if he is on a longterm or indefinite leave, sitters should not accept invites. They should just finish off active games.
CK had asked for an indefinite leave as he isn't sure how long he would be away from the site. some other clanmates and I have been asked to cover his current games and tournaments, but he has messaged us and updated us on his situation.
It has always been our intention to cover any of his games to the best of our abilities in the chance he returns, but we have been informed not to pass the 1 month mark for indefinite sitting with tournaments, which is coming up in about a week. I believe the 1month mark was to allow tournaments to continue while finding an appropriate replacement as not to stall it. In some tournaments, as invites came in, we have requested removal from tournaments and offered substitutes if needed. CK is aware of his placement in this tournament and is considering what options there may be for him continuing without the use of sitters.
I had offered to replace CK in this tournament, but giving him the prize and glory if i was successful. up to the tourny organizer if this was acceptable. otherwise, in 1 week, any more games that have to be accepted for CK will not be and/or at that point be deadbeated if he is unable to take his turns
I see that on March 30 swimmerdude99 posted as CK requesting removal from this tournament. That seems to be clearer. As an organizer I know replacing players can be a pain in the ass sometimes but in this case it seems simple to remove CK.

Since CK asked to be removed before the knockout stage started, go back and grab the 9th player on the list. Have them play 5 games vs. Panzermeyer with winner advancing to the next round.
This CK. I apologize for this interruption in the tournament. I did not actually request removal, rather, swimmerdude did on my behalf. I have not left the site, and I am hoping to return, but could not put a time table on that return; hence the cover by my clanmates. I will elaborate even further, so everyone understands why I had to take a leave of absence. I don't talk about this often, but I am terminally ill. I have had two double lung transplants, and I am currently in chronic rejection for the 2nd. I only have about 20% lung function and have been suffering some recent issues which required me to place full focus and energy on those health issues. However, given my decline in physical and lung function, this site has provided me a reprieve from the pain and suffering associated with this decline.
I would very much like to try to complete the tournament even if that means I only cover the games in this tournament. I hope this gives a better frame of reference. I am sorry that I could not respond sooner. Furthermore, I am sorry to cause this problem in the tournament. I hated to be a hindrance. I hope you all can forgive me.
Just wanted to thank all those who voted for me even if you didn't know the full circumstances.
I also want to give a shout-out to Craig for being so understanding and offering the vote rather than just kicking me. Here's to a great matchup against shoop76. I should know how good he is since I've played with him on my team in other tournaments.
