NCAA Football FBS Playoff [Winner: mongbane]

For my first tournament, I have decided to present a hypothetical situation that many U.S. sports fans have been pining for since the beginning of the BCS: a 16-team tournament to determine the 2010 U.S. Football National Champion. No BCS games, no final rankings, no bull, just playing it out on the field.

This is a 16-player 1v1 tournament that will seed players based upon their team preference below and that team's ranking in the BCS standings at the time of the tournament's start. The 1 v 1 format will follow the following rules:

Each 1 v 1 match will involve 4-5 games. The games will be set up similar to the quarters in a football game; each quarter will be represented by a separate CC game, with different maps and settings. ALL GAMES WILL BE SEQUENTIAL AND AUTOMATIC.
Quarter 1: Home team's (team with better seed) preferred map and settings.
Quarter 2: Away team's preferred map and settings.
Quarter 3: Map is the USA regional map containing the home team's state of origin (the match involving #1 Florida vs.#16 Utah will take place on USA Southeast) Settings will be Flat Rate, Chained, Sunny.
Quarter 4: Random map (because football can be unpredictable!), settings: No Spoils, Chained, Foggy.

Whichever team wins 3 or more of the quarters will advance to the next round. If the quarters are tied 2-2, an Overtime tiebreaker game will be played-
Overtime: Map is USA, settings are Flat Rate, Chained, and Sunny.

Thus, a player (representing an NCAA team) will advance to the next round by a score of 4-0, 3-1, or 3-2.

NOTE: If the team for which you sign up drops out of the Top 16 in the BCS standings by the commencement of the tournament, you will be reassigned to another team that has risen into the Top 16.
