What's up with that? I ended up joining two games (and dropping a few others) before realizing that that all I had to do was place the mouse pointer over a link (no click) and CC interprets it as a click to join game/drop game/whatever. Is this caused by some setting on my Browser or is this the norm at CC? If its supposed to happen, why? I've lost 40 points by unintentionally getting myself into a couple of 2-player games on maps that were new to me.
This doesn't sound like any feature on Conquer Club. I'd try a different browser and see if you still have the same thing happening. Check to see if there are any settings in your browser that seems out function. And always, make sure you aren't using some old out of whack mouse! Some mice are extra-touch sensitive and thus any little bit of pressure may be interpreted as a click.
No, it's a normal mouse. The problem just started recently, though I dont remember making any significant changes to my system. All I have to do is move the pointer over the link and the action is taken. An odd symptom of this is that when I do click on the "join game" I get a 'red bar' across the screen saying I 'cant join b/c I'm already I'm already in that game.' Evidently, my putting the mouse over the link, prior to clicking it, puts me into the game (though this action doesn't take me to the screen acknowledging entry into the game) and my subsequent clicking the link causes the error message. I'm not sure what to check on my system to remedy the problem.
it kinda sounds like something a browser could try to increase the browsing speed too.. Any recent changes in those settings, and what browser are you using?
Mouse control panel seems ok. The browser is probably the culprit. I'm on Firefox 3.0.15 and using AVG. I remember something about AVG prechecking Google links to make sure the linked-to page is virus-free. Perhaps something like that? I haven't (intentionally) tried to speed up the Browser.
Oh, and BOB quit updating game information. The two issues may have have started simultaneously, but I didnt notice the mouse problem until about a week after BOB stopped updating w/o a refresh.
well, you could test after turning the AVG plugin off. I'm quite sure BOB doesn't cause this problem. Check whether you have version 4.9.8 though, and upgrade if you don't. If you have, I'm interested in what goes wrong.
