Take her up in a Hot Air Balloon and then open up a box of Chocolates (Not Cheap ones) and feed her them....Give her a little bite, then you take the other bite... in other words share each one...

Walk / hike....boardgames like backgammon (or hide the sausage in the bagel...LOL!)...but really......picnic, swing at a playground, find free public events like museums, concerts, tours of historical / public / renowned spots.........learn a skill like building a chair out of branches - sounds weird but it is essentially free and fun - I have a bunch of homemade furniture about our yard......so many options.......

Just go to the beach. Last I checked, that was free. And then you can watch the sunset together.

cc is great for a relationship. My hubby and I play all the time.

Ideas.....

picnic is always good.

do you have a car. get up in the morning, pick her up and go on an adventure. no maps and no destination just drive and see what you can find. (you can do this as a surprise if you know she has a day off, pick her up with flowers in hand. you can pick them yourself that is just as good as buying some) This gives you a chance to get to know what she is all about. If you are really adventurous take a tent and sleep on a beach under the stars. the less planning the better.

fishing is always fun with a few beers. Catch and release if you are not going to eat them.

skating or sledding if you are in a winter place

bake together. does she have a favorite cookie?

if I think of others I'll let you know. Remember, most girls are more concerned about the effort and not the cost.

Yeah man Koolbak and rogue2 have great ideas. Most women i know appreciate the thought, and works for them, if you know she likes to do a certain something (bikeing, hiking, walking, traveling etc..) do that, or just do something fun that she would like, since she's your girl friend, just compliment her and you should know something she likes at least to do that doesn't cost much money. Play some games at home....cooking is great idea....so yeah just follow what you think she likes nad what rogue2 and Koolbak said.

It's winter, and if it's anywhere near as snowy and hilly over where you're at as it is over here, you should take her sledding. You both probably haven't gone since you were kids, and at the end of the day, you can both warm your tired bones in front of the fireplace.

I'd suggest some wine along with that, but anything good is gonna cost you.

I really like KB's ideas - particularly the hiking part. If you have a picturesque area, pack a bottle of wine and a light lunch like cheese and crackers, find a nice waterfall, and let things go from there.

Boardgames is excellent, too. For two players, I'd recommend Reiner Knizia's Lord of the Rings (published by Fantasy Flight) or Carcassonne to start, especially if she's not a "boardame person." Risk is great but it can be too competitive and she may not be into that. LotR is good because it's a cooperative game - you either win or lose as a team (you play against Sauron, which is guided by the game system). Carcassonne is a good 2-player game, not too competitive, easy to learn, in which you try to build a medieval city using tiles. There are probably some other good 2player games for non-gamers but these come to mind the fastest.

If you still live with your parents, it would probably be a good idea for her to meet your parents. then your parents will like her and not think you are going out with the "wrong type of girl"

Hey sammy, is that you and your GF in your Avvy?

lilwdlnddude, could we know what age group you are in?
(0-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50+)

that would help us out a lot, cause if you are under 18, we wont reccomend anything alcoholic or anything that your parents wouldnt like

Haha, thats hilarious. Yeah i am 17 so i cant do anything alcoholic. I dont like alcohol anyways, everything ive tried just dosnt taste good at all to me. It is winter and i wish it would snow where i live, it usually does but for some reason it hasnt snowed this year.... weird.... Hike/bike/walk great itdea!! i live right next to a nature park/forest area so i guess that would be a good place. hey she likes risk! haha, but she dosnt play to often. ive told her about the site but she hasnt joined yet. oh just to let you all know she isnt "officialy" my "girl friend", ha i feel rediculous saying that, but yeah its gonna happen maybe. yeah she has met my parents and they think she is cool, so that worked out nicely. Movies... thats good to. actually tonight we were both exausted so we watched a movie... a scary one, well not to me of course, haha, but it was the movie High Tension if you guys have ever heard of it. I live near a beach but, the winter makes the water freezing so, cant go swimmin or anything. i need to learn how to make something she likes (picky eater). but she is pretty straight forward, not like one of thoes girls that wants the guy to figure everything out about them, no offence to you girls who do that, but the straight forward thing makes a guys life so much easier. haha, so i guess ill just ask her what kind of food she likes. but yeah, thanks CC, your making my life so much easier, and my mind more creative. Keep the ideas comin, maybe your helping more than one guy out on this site! :D

Its not you. Alcohol tastes like crap! People just drink it for its intoxicating effects. Really.... who in their right mind would drink alcohol if you could not get drunk from it? Very few people, I'm sure.
