It doesn't always get said in game chat. Game 7150690 for example. You have already stated in the first C&A report against you that you and lumpy are brothers.Hardline wrote:Question for the brotherhood:
What's the point of the friends list? I've seen on MANY occasions the following scenario: two friends join a public game, let on through game chat that they know each other,
Family and real life friends can and do talk about the game when they are together.Hardline wrote:and as soon as one of the other players starts losing, he turns the two friends in as a "secret alliance".
When there is a secret diplomacy complaint I always check the games that the accused have played together to see if there is a pattern. Just playing a lot of games together is not enough proof.Hardline wrote:The first pieces of evidence brought up in the accusation are A) the fact that they've played together before,

Are they warned? Or is it suggested?Hardline wrote:I've then seen those players warned not to play public games together to avoid the appearance of secret alliances.
Friends list has nothing to do with it.Hardline wrote:If that's the case, what's the point of a friends list? Seems to me like it's asking for trouble these days.
If two room mates were playing in a three player game don't you think it would be hard not to talk about the game, especially if there was a complaint made about secret diplomacy?Hardline wrote:Just curious to hear what you guys think about it.

It is so easy to cry foul. One reason it takes so long on secret diplomacy complaints is we try to see how the turns were played. Many of the complaints are because one player didn't make the move another player thought they should.Hardline wrote: I guess it all comes down to "what is suspicious play"? So many players instantly cry "suspicious" as soon as more than one person attacks them, regardless of their strength or rank. What do you guys think? What's the difference between "suspicious" play and simply "annoying" or "frustrating" play?
