Secret Alliance - Viper 1 and Monkus - Game 218376

Post by Dr. Spankypants »

Secret Alliance

Suspect users: Viper 1

Game number: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=218376

Comments: Kindly uncovered by Sofuca in http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=220628, Viper 1 is caught red-handed offering a secret alliance against me to Monkus in the game of singles we're all playing together - http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=218376. Obviously, no accusation against Monkus, it was only offered to him not accepted by.

Is it illegal to negotiate?

Post by joeblade »

I'm curious if offering an alliance in secret is against the rules.
I don't mean having the alliance and never telling, but making the agreement/ discussing the terms.

I never offer any alliances, but in part this is because it is somewhat risky because if the other player does not accept, your post sits in the chat log, like a big flag saying "yes pick on me".

I'm not in favour of alliances anyway but I am just wondering, is it against the rules to negotiate in peace and quiet, and if an agreement was made, to post it in the chat log.

Hopefully the mods will look at this soon and decide if it is or not!

Personally, I think offering a Secret Alliance is bad enough. By offering it in secret it shows the intention to cheat. If they weren't thinking of cheating then they would have done it publicly.
