Luxembourg is one of my favorite maps. I've used it in tournament play, but I've never run a tournament dedicated only to Luxembourg. That changes now.

Players will be grouped into 8-player groups. These groups will be randomized (random.org) before each round. Every round, 2 players from each group will be eliminated until we get down to 4 total players remaining.

Games will be played with the following settings. Groups will play games one at a time.

Players: Image Four to Image Eight
Type: Image Terminator
Initial: Image Automatic
Order: Image Sequential
Spoils: Image Flat Rate
Reinforce: Image Chained
Fog: Image Sunny
Rounds: Image Casual[/spoiler]
Players will receive 1 point for every kill they register in each game. Once they reach 10+ kills, they will move on to the next round. Games will continue for that round between the remaining players until there are only 2 players left without 10 kills. They will be eliminated.

Once the groups have been narrowed down to 2 players each, they will be combined into a single group. That group will play the final round with the same format as preceding rounds, except the first player to 10+ kills will be declared the winner of the tournament. If multiple players tie at the end of the final game, additional games will be played until one player emerges with more kills than anyone else.

I'm in.

The only concern that I have is that it's going to be a lot of games to eliminate players each round, but then the finals is only won in one game. To follow the format of the previous rounds, shouldn't it be first player to 10 kills wins?

The following has been changed from my original intentions. This way is better. :) Thanks to denominator for the suggestion.

Thanks for listening! I played in a tournament similar to this before, where it was based on kills in the final round, and it gets really interesting when everybody has to keep track of each other's kill counts to prevent someone else from winning first.

I like the change for the final

If I am looking at this right--each side will player games of 8-then 6 then 4 and then the last 2 end up playing the other side in a Finals with 4 players.
