This is a Tournament Players Association (TPA) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.

I will be rescuing this tourney. In the original rules, no mention of being in the top ten of your division is mentioned. What is mentions is finishing in the top 50 will allow you to advance to round three.

Original thread: viewtopic.php?t=123946

So: The top 50 players with most wins will advance after 50 maps have been played. Divisions will be done away with as well because 20 player divisions only work for 19 map round robin. There is an uneven balance with this format. To make things a little more fair I have decided to use random.org for each map. This way for each map you will have one random decided opponent. It will also make it a lot easier to send out games.

Looks like there has been a few dead beats so far. Dead beats will not be in the tourney for too long and they will lose out on a chance to have a win. Check the rules below. That being said, anyone that has played over 17 games will continue in this tourney as most likely their opponent did not show. I will send replacement games to get them up to the 20 possible played maps so far on the maps that they did not play. Any player with less than 17 played games will end up in the finished results.

Now to the rules:

I will send one game out at a time. The pm will be sent to everyone. The format will look like this:
I may send it this way but now I have simplified it so I will go with the format below this.
22. Keefie .vs. 29. Leehar View Game 7436139 (Auto-Join Game)

23. benga .vs. 28. dreams4insomniac View Game 7436140 (Auto-Join Game)

24. phillipm .vs. 27. Blinkadyblink View Game 7436141 (Auto-Join Game)

25. Night Strike .vs. 26. General Flashman View Game 7436142 (Auto-Join Game)
To make it even simpler I am just sending out your name with an auto join to the right of it.

For example:

General Flashman View Game 7436142 (Auto-Join Game)

dreams4insomniac View Game 7436140 (Auto-Join Game)

Blinkadyblink View Game 7436141 (Auto-Join Game)

All you will have to do is find your name. You will click on the auto join link which is to the right of your name and join your game.

You will have 48 hours to join.

If you join the wrong game or you do not join within 48 hours you will get a strike against you. Three strikes and you are out and placed in the finished results.

All games not joined will be matched up starting from the top of the list and working towards the bottom of the list.

Because uneven games will result I am going to find a player willing to play all games that need to be created to even maps or games up or when we have an odd amount of players left in the tourney.

This player will have a chance at a GA medal. They must fill in for at least 10 games and be the fill in player for the rest of the tourney. If he/she leaves then the next reserve takes over and has a chance. "The Reserve" will get a General Achievement Medal for their time if:

"Reserve player with a winning percentage above 50%"

Please do not post individual wins in the thread--just questions will be nice. I will do all the verification and scoring and individual pms just clog up the thread.

How to win this tourney:

Winner will be the player that wins the most games. If there is a tie at the end I will have the players remaining play 10 random games using the random map function. This will be done until there is a clear winner.

Cut offs: At the conclusion of play of 50 maps, the top 50 with the most wins will advance and the remaining players will be place in finish order. To be fair anyone tied at 50 will advance to the final 50.

Conclusion:

I believe I have covered everything concerning this tournament. I will be sending this to all players in a pm so they have time to read it and respond. If there are changes and updates I will add them to the second post.

The third post will be for player rankings and the fourth post will track strikes against players.

Any questions can be posted in this thread or pm'd to me.

PM going out to all:

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=130954

I will be rescuing this tournament. I have made a new thread and made a few changes.

I have made specific rules to make sure the tourney runs smoother and there are clear definitions on how to win the tourney.

I suggest reading the entire thread and pm-ing me or posting in the thread and questions or concerns. I will send games out on Wednesday so this gives everyone some time to communicate to me or in the thread any questions or concerns I can address prior to sending out the games.

Thanks and good luck

I know I wanted to get started Wednesday, but with the big Speed tourney I started and a really busy real life week I was unable to. I will be requesting a reserve today to do the odd games and then we will be off. Games will come out by Monday sometime--thanks--pretty big tourney to make sure I get it right.

You played 15 games--why did you miss the other five? Everyone else has played 20? Sending this in a pm as well. I need a response within 24 hours please.

The Open Centum Information

Ok--I have made it so simple in my opinion for you to join your one game.

Each time I send out the games all you have to do is find your name and auto join the game within 48 hours. As long as you do this you are fine. If you do not join within 48 hours or join the wrong game you will get a strike. After three strikes you are out of the tourney and scored in your final position.

If you are going away-let me know pm or thread so I can give you make up games when you return. Holiday season is upon us. Expect one game ever 2 to 4 days.

Hope I have made this simple enough. I have some make up games to do and then I will make a new scoreboard--sometime by next week.

For the first two games back I will not hold strikes against anyone but games 23 and forward I will.

Good Luck

So how many games will we be playing? Will we still play a total of 100 games as was described in the original rules?

Yes--I am following the same 100 maps he chose in the list.

Based on his rules the top fifty advance after the 50 games are played so I do not understand the division set up he had made. Each division had 20 players. The math on who to play and how many times did not add up. So I decided to just random.org each matchup for each individual map and send one games every 2-4 days. When we get down to 50 and take the top 50 win records then I may send two games at a time, but for now just one at a time.
