Dubs(Team Games)

Post by Lui-Slamo »

Okay, when you are in a Dubs Game,You rely on your teammate to communicate with you and you two work together right? So what if both of you dont communicate.Like they dont respond back and it gets annoying. How would you fix this problem? You obiously cant quit the game,so what are other options.

I'd suggest going to callouts and asking for a dubs partner who likes to communicate in games. I did so back when I was a corporal and desperate to find someone who knew the meaning of the word "communication", and had the good fortune to be contacted by an excellent team player.

I see you've played less than ten games though, A suggestion would be to maybe play a few more and become comfortable with the fundamentals of dice odds, the different settings, and the site in general, before further adding the complexity of proper team play to that.

As for the game your stuck in, well perhaps send him a PM asking that he pay attention to chat in-game, but not much else can be done, it's a risk one takes with random partners.

Good luck.

Arama's right, but your teammate in the France game hasn't even moved yet, so give him a chance. Back before I got regular partners, I found posting on a teammates wall something simple like "Hey, check our France chat" would work most times.

i have found that posting in the correct forum, callouts, for this sort of thing keeps the GD spam down to a minimum... who cares?-the black jesus

I thought you read before posting owen? GD or help are right, not callouts.

Obviously the most important thing is, don't play with this guy again. Second, make the best moves you can. The game is probably going to be a loss, although you could get good dice and so on, so just make good moves anyway just in case you get lucky.

Finally, find a regular partner. It's not easy, and it takes trying several people, but when you find 1 or 2 who do communicate, make more games and invite them. Don't let your good partners go. You can find more as time goes on, but keep your good partners. Most experienced players will not join a game with a random partner for the reason you've described above, so once you find a few, only play with the partners you know.
