My friend (who actually ditched the site because he sucks at games) told me there was a place to play my favorite board game...lol. I was immediately hooked by the people and fun and have been here since.

I like how the sign up dates are getting earlier and earlier as we go down the thread.

Allow me to break the trend. :P

I joined after searching for a way to play RISK online...I found CC, and ended up getting hooked by the community.

I love playing risk with my friends, one of them searched for an online version and found this site. We played a few games together and all my friends quit after a few games but I kept going for over 300 games. I've quit playing games here, but the lively debate and interesting personalities bring me back to the off-topic section every so often.

It all started with Risk for playstation. I used to really enjoy that game. There was always an empty spot for risk all throughout my child hood. It looked super sweet, but I did not know how to play it, or else never gave it a good try. Anyways when I got my broadband I tried to look up the risk game for the playstation console for any sequels (Risk 2?) and game across a few demos. I wanted more!

I found this site that allowed a free acount. When I started getting agitated and signing on only to have no games to play, I knew I had to get premium and have 20 games going at all times.

Here, in the Forum? Just snooping around, joined a clan, learned the forum, stumbled into the off topics, and the rest.....well the rest is History.

Went to yahoo answers and searched through old questions regarding playing a version of a specific board game online for free. Been here ever since.

I had just spent a winter in Canada and had developed a taste for risk. Back in Mexico I started thinking that it would be very hard and almost unlikely that there was risk online, but then again started to realize it was all about databases.. then googled it and CC appeared.

Wandered the net for about 10 years, playing two or three online games and signing my life over to them.
"Retired" from them, only to wander around looking for something else. Found Evony, selling over my soul, conquered the world. Pondered how I can conquer the world without selling my soul and searched.

Enter CC, and now I'm here to stay. :D

They changed every now and then, I think I had John Paul Jones up for awhile though. Gotta love a man celebrated for being a brilliant douchebag.

I joined in 06, played till 07, and left for a few reasons. 1) because I dropped from 11th place to sgt in a week because of dice and an army of cooks stealing my points. 2) To go to college, and I needed free time.

I came back a few months ago, and its same old shit, new maps, too many people, and shitty dice. Back in 06, when I first joined, there were only a few hundred of us. Now there's a few thousand or more.

The reason I'm not giving up is because I enjoy playing team games with friends, even if I lose occasionally due to the dice.

Same here. I got tired of having to wait a year to play RISK with my family. Google "Play RISK online" and CC popped up. Been here ever since.
