Chap's Triples Round Robin [10 clans: 27/40]

Which Clan has the best triples teams? Let's find out. Every Clan needs 4 entries into the tournament.

[spoiler=Settings]At least 8 Clans - At least 96 Players (Freemiums allowed)
4 Teams per Clan
1 Home map per team: You pick the map and settings (No Beta, No Classic); Automatic and Sequential
There will be 4 divisions, randomly assigned
Each Clan will have a team represented in each division[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Rules]Every team plays at every other team in the division. One home game and one road game. Then playoffs will be held.

Tiebreaker Scenarios:
    1. If two teams are tied, whoever had the best head to head record wins
    2. If two teams are tied and split their head to head meeting then the two teams play 3 games. Home, Away and Neutral.
    3. If more than two teams are tied then another round robin is played with the addition of a neutral game.

Neutral Game:
    Classic
    No Spoils
    Chained
    Foggy

[spoiler=Playoffs]Both of the top two teams from each division make the playoffs
Each playoff matchup will have 3 games to determine the winner. Home, Away, and Neutral.
The winning team from each division will play a Second place team from another division and advance in a bracket format.[/spoiler]

If you expand this to 16 teams due to the number of clans and teams within those clans reserve a 2nd spot for KOA please.

Remember that this has to be open to the public teams as well, so I'd remove "Clan" from the heading. If it is meant for clans only, you'll have to pm me to get some ideas on how to do this. It was to be of a significant size etc. to get Clan Privileges. Here you can go smaller but it has to be open to the public and independent teams.

This tournament can not be run as a public tournament. If you would like to run a clan tournament, please PM me and I will move this over to the Clans Forums for you to work out the details with jpcloet.

Sooooo...it's not a tourney....it's not a clan war but it requires 4 trips teams from each clan? And no medals. Then I guess this would be a non CC sanctioned private "THANG" ? Or is there new rules coming down the pike?

Sadly CC will not issue any awards or medals for this tourney nor even give chapcrap a contribution award for running it.

They are stipulating 10 players per clan before they grant gaming privs to chap.

I recommend we bypass the "sanctioning", set realistic requirements and have a "just for fun" private round robin clan tourney.

Why not just allow anyone without a clan to represent the 'clanless' clan (if anyone wants to)? Then it is still public, and allows each clan to be involved.

There have been plenty of other tournaments where there are restrictions on who can be in a team (must be a combination of officers and civs, must be from the same country), so surely there just needs to be some way for the clanless public to enter in order to be considered a legit tournament
