Famous/Historical/Notable People You'd Like To Play Against

Post by AndyDufresne »

So, a post on CC's Facebook Fan page led me to think about what famous/historical/notable people I'd like to play a game With/Against...

I ended up wanting to play a Doubles game with Albert Einstein and Macho Man Randy Savage vs Myself and Humphrey Bogart. I'd just like to see who would take the lead on the opposing team, or, how well they work together. As for my team, I've just always thought Humphrey as such a suave man, that I'd like a little of his charm to rub off on me.

If you could choose some famous/historical/notable people to play against or with, who would you choose and why? And what map/settings, if you have any in mind?

6-player standard game:
myself
Niccolò Machiavelli
Sigmund Freud
Karl Marx
Adam Smith
Jeremy Bentham

As for a doubles game, my teammate could be Otto von Bismarck and we could play against Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler.

I'd also like to take a CC internship with some of the highest IQs in the world, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Gottfried Leibniz and Blaise Pascal.

Man, I'd do a 1v1 vs Churchill.

Also, dubs with Chiang Kai Shek vs Mao and Deng Xiaoping

didn't einstein have an iq lower than 100? it's one of those things you hear used against the iq system...

I'd probably team up with Jesus because I know He'd be a good sport and wouldn't suicide on me.

I'd probably do a dubs versus Chuck Norris and Bruce Schneier just to test their "facts" (yes, Bruce Schneier also has "facts" just like Norris)

(1) Emperor Palpatine - I'm fairly certain I could learn something from him.
(2) James T. Kirk or Jean Luc Picard - I'm torn between them. Kirk would be more fun. Picard would be a challenge. Also... KAHN!!!
(3) Sauron - On the Midgard map. We'll see who conquers Hobbiton first.

I'd team with Billy Mays against anyone to read his infamous opener in our team chat. Also, I'd play in a 4 person freestyle assassin game against Bruce Lee, Steven Seagal, and Chuck Norris and look for any changes in the space-time continuum.. which hopefully would be noted in the game log.

I'd love to have an 8-player Standard with some of history's biggest badasses (I suck on a team :| ):
  1. Me (Sadly no, I'm not a historical badass...)
  2. Niels Bohr (Essentially won vs. Einstein in a battle of atomic theory)
  3. Euclid (Mathematical badass)
  4. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (CALCULUS!!!)
  5. Fidel Castro (Just, yeah)
  6. Leon Trotsky (My favorite communist :P )
  7. Paul (Yes, Shields, that Paul)
  8. Stephen Colbert (I don't think this needs justification)

The correct answer is Jean-Luc Picard.

==================================

To stretch possibilities a little more, I think I'd also like to play a triples game with Capt. John Joseph Yossarian and Dunbar Vs. Milo Minderbinder and his multis.

Naturally, on the Italy map as well. I some reservations about Yossarian's reliability in team coordinated assaults---I don't want him bombing my own men, but I think he'd still be an asset. He'd want to stay alive at all costs.

Ah, yes, a good one. I had not thought of him.

P.S. For anyone who might ask: Newton can suck it, Leibniz invented calculus!!
